  1. When they started, they only produced official subs, but now they both do some dubs now, though only NIS A dubs are on Crunchyroll.

Interesting. I had no idea about all that, I will have to look into it ;)

  2. @AlphaProxy That is very nice looking for a 2001 model. You must take great care of her.

I don't know if you can see the resemblance between my cheap current car and dream expensive car but that's definitely why I got it hahaha. Yeah she's my baby. That's an old photo too, she has new headlights and a better wash job now although I drove her to up north last week so she's all dirty again lol

  3. I had to watch it subbed for when I reviewed it over on my blog, and while it was not bad, the product that NIS America delivered was horrible because of practically unreadable subs, which why I would never support the subbed only releases, whereas Disctek produces good subs, though I cannot vouch for accurate translation.

You can see the series dubbed on Crunchyroll, if you have a subscription, and it was pretty decent.

See I know nothing about NIS A or Disctek, but I'm guessing their different producers that translate for Subs. I enjoyed the subs enough so it was no real problem for me but I would like to go check out dubs then to hear what they personify the voices as and the translation for it as well.

  4. Actually, I should have proofread my post a bit. I meant that the dub was better for Toradora!, because I what I just talked about.

I do not care how I watch anime, but I can enjoy it better because dub because reading with a headache is a terrible idea.

Oh really? Yeah ive only watched the sub version (about 4 times lol) but I haven't seen the dub. I usually prefer sub just because I think the voices match the characters better. But I totally understand the struggle of reading/watching sub while having a headache or migraine >.< not fun.

  5. I am a fan of Toradora! mmyself, though I would watch that subbed instead of subbed, since NIS America seems to produce better dubs than subs, which can be too small to be readable.

Agreed. Sub>dub all day every day. and yes Toradora has my heart lmao

  6. Welcome to the community.

I hope you are enjoying your time here.

What are some of your favorite anime?

Hi Brycec! Thank you, I definetly am so far. I'm a big RomCom otaku so I have to say one of my favorites of all time is Toradora. Just something about Tsunderes <3 lmao

  7. Welcome Alpha, nice to meet you. I'm Tefutakato. Like your avatar too! Hope you're doing well too.

Thanks Tefu, nice to meet you too! I appreciate it although I cant take credit it for it >.< :)

  8. I wish I could have gone with! Just don't have money to travel. One day, I will. My brother took an internship in Italy a few years ago and fell in love there. And I mean that literally. He met his wife there. But he loved Italy, too, and talks about going back often. I'd love to go to school abroad. I can't tell you how green in the face jealous I am. xD

I think I'm gonna go visit again sometime in late November or even December. I miss it too much ;_; I haven't been to Italy yet although I would love to get a nice car rental to drive through the Italian mountains (besides anime, cars is my biggest hobby) and I also want to see Greece.

And I'm certain you'll have lots of time to decide what you want to pursue, so don't sweat it and just enjoy your time there. :)

And perhaps they'll pop in and say hello, who knows?

Thanks! I hope so too :)

  9. Hey welcome! No fears here, we're all weebs in one form or another. What part of Cali? I grew up near Palm Springs (don't live there anymore.) :P

Germany, huh? That sounds really exciting! What sort of programme are you in? When do you think you'll be going? I know there's at least one member here from Germany, maybe you could chat with them and get to know the area a bit better. :)

Nice! I live in Sonoma County right now, I'm doing a winemaking internship for the rest of the summer. I used to go to palm spring with my grandparents all the time as a kid for vacation! Even though its hot as shit, I loved it there.

Yeah, I took a gap year and explored Europe last semester and fell in love with Germany. They have amazing college programs as well, so it makes it very tempting to go back. Right now I just cant decide what I want to follow as a career, but I think I may end up going in for Electrical Engineering but I'm not sure yet. We will see! I hope to meet this other person from Germany to get to know them!

  10. I'm 19 currently in California, but planning to move to Germany to go to school. Been Otaku trash since I was a Freshman in High School. Just hoping to meet some new people here, since I have absolutely 0 people I know that like anime. Hoping to go to my first event sometime soon as well, just don't know what itll be and I would like to meet up with some people I get to know there? Anyway thanks for reading, hope to have lots of fun with ya'll ~
