I put Kingdom on on-hold a couple of years ago, for a few reasons, and the animation is one of them. I'm planning to pick it up again at a later date, since everyone that has watched it rave about it.

You're missing out on Ou Ki greatness.

Bleach:

Complete trash that tried to copy the great YuYu Hakusho, which failed hard and that the only good arc that isn't bad or that good is the Soul Society Arc.

The manga version is even worse. Ew Thousand Blood War Arc.

Currently re-watching The Legend of the Galactic Heroes.

No, it is not a retelling of the first series. The new movie also known as Eureka Seven Hi-Evolution will be 10 years before the first season story that will also depict the "First Summer of Love" incident. It won't be a remix or a remake but all the dialogues will be reconstructed, the trilogy will also have a new ending "nobody has ever known".

It will be quite interesting.

It was a somewhat change to the timeline, Kagome Higurashi is married to Inuyasha 3 years later after the end of the series, and is living in the world that is 300 Years in the past. Thus making another Kagome person, another Kagome originally is from that era of 300 years ago and is deceased, that Kagome is married to the ancestor of this day Kagome's old friend, Hojo.

Hojo's ancestor, also known as Akitoki Hojo had feelings for Kagome Higurashi but his feelings go unrequited but marries Suzaku. This Suzaku changed her name to Kagome Hojo thus as revealed on the family tree of their descendant, caused the present day Kagome Higurashi to wonder if she might end up as the wife of Akitoki.

It's merely all coincidental.

Kingdom

The only reason why the thought of dropping it crossed my mind, was because it's animation were on the level of the new Berserk animation (2016/2017), basically, it sucked. For some reason though, I continued to watch it because some of my friends for a social site I use a lot, have kept saying great things about it so I endured until I've finished the first season, if you disregard it's horrible animation, it's actually a pretty ******* great series to enjoy and when you get to S2, the animation is beautiful.

I'm glad I didn't drop this because now, it's one of my top 10 series that I enjoy to this day which made me read the manga counterpart, and the manga counterpart speaks it's own story as well.

I think the problem is that it just does not work outside the Jinchu arc.

What do you mean by that?

Optic has already written a fairly amount of criteria regarding this:

• Must be fantasy themed! So samurais, ninjas, kunoichi, knights... anything along those lines.
  
• No characters if their MAIN weapon is magic or guns - best left for another topic.
  

Why are you tagging me regarding this? I have read what it says and Berserk is a fantasy series. Griffith's main weapon is a sword, or used to be, and reality manipulation isn't magic, only to those who are 3D which in this case, Griffith is not.

Sword Art Online is trash.

A many who have posted before me have said, it was rushed, there was nearly to none good character development, the creators basically jumped right into the parts where usually, it takes time to get to those points and way too ******* much harem and the fact that they tried taking pieces from the great Berserk series such as "The Black Swordsman", fairy in a pocket, becoming a dragonslayer, an all out black outfit and not to mention falling in love with a vice-commander of a guild cough Casca cough

Basically a lousy lame version of Berserk in a virtual world. You guys sure that the game is called Sword Art Online? More like Berserk Online.

I am also a fan of Yu Yu Hakusho and Rurouni Kenshin. Did you by any chance the manga versions?

 

I have read Yu Yu Hakusho all the way through and I kind of prefer the anime, but, as for the Rurouni Kenshin manga, I have only read the Jinchu arc.

The anime is better of YuYu Hakusho and yes, I have read and watched the Rurouni Kenshin series all the way through. If you wish to watch the anime counterpart, I suggest you only go all the way to episode 60 something, the Kyoto Arc, the rest of the episodes are only just fillers.

Most hardcore death in Anime?

- The Death of Kira - Death Note

- The Death of Makoto Shishio - Rurouni Kenshin

- The Death of Sensui - YuYu Hakusho

- The Death of the Band of the Hawk (Eclipse) - Berserk

To say that truth, it really isn't that good.

- The story was quite predictable as to what will happen next and who will die next .etc)

- Not enough good character development.

- The whole lot of "We're are justice! You are evil!", "No we are not! You are!" was lousy asf, there was literally no one to correctly actually to take the time and think "is this really alright"? or start being philosophic and crap.

- The story was rushed.

- The characters who got killed off, we didn't get enough actual screen time and background story.

Let's just say it became predictable like Bleach.
