Manga recommendation

Hey guys, my birthday is in about three months and I've started saving up to buy some manga, but the problem is I haven't found one that really catches my eye. Could you recommend any? I like one-shot manga or short series.

One shots might be harder to find if ur going to a bookstore, well it depends where in the world u are, but if u buy online then it boils down to what genre are u looking for?

Some of the one shots/ shorter stories I liked are:

- Tista- sorta about a church orphan being a hit man

-  Neon Genesis Evangelion- it's short to an extent it's not like really long and it's a nice asd to ur shelf, sorta mecha with some u could call psychological horror/thriller

- Star of Beethoven- it's about music, the piano specifically and the reason it's so short is cause it stopped getting released

- pppppp- almost same exact thing as star of Beethoven besides that I like this better 

There are probably more if I look through my manga list but I have to say some of the best short stories rn are new manga that just don't have many chapters yet, probablem is over time they might get longer. Also if u could specify genre and maximum length I might be able to help more.

I don't know what type of genre you're into, but here are some recs I enjoy:

Maid to Skate - A comedy set in a world where all maids skateboard and do awesome tricks, while also becoming friends and having fun. Only 1 volume!

Ghost Reaper Girl - A beautifully drawn manga about a girl who's forced to hunt ghosts and such as a job. It's from the artist of Rosario Vampire, and only about 4 or 5 volumes long.
