The mother then raises the child for a few years like normal. A few years later (in the drama) the mother and child was at the shop on the marina when the Japanese Police (maybe the Yakuza?) take the child away from the mother. There was also a newspaper article that the mother was wanted. If i recall correctly, it was a slightly older drama from 1990-2006. This was not an anime plot. The characters in it were real people.
