Don’t know about being a “cool” member, but happy to be the first to join 

Azumanga Daioh is one of my all time favorite anime & the first one to come to mind when someone mentions “slice of life”.  My favorite character among the students is Sakaki. But my favorite character overall is actually Yukari-sensei for being a perfect example of how a grown-up SHOULDN’T behave  I continue to be surprised that Yotsuba from the same mangaka never got an anime adaption.

After reading your post in the Overrated Anime Topic, I gave to say I’d never encountered this before, but I could certainly understand it being annoying if someone claimed to be a “fan” based solely on memes or youtube clips/shorts.
