I watched this many years ago. It's not a studio ghibli film. All I can recall is group of people entering a big mansion or house somewhere in the forest. There's a lot of rooms/doors/windows. They do some exploring and encounter strange happenings? I think there were clocks/painting? One scene I remember very clearly is a boy exploring the bathroom and he hears a tapping noise coming from the window, he looks and a little ghost girl appears. (I can't remember but I don't think she's dead...she's the daughter of house owner?).
