hello! As you can tell from my name and my profile, I'm absolutely infatuated with serial experiments lain and the lesser known PS1 game ''PSX lain''. I was curious to know what people here think of the anime/game. Personally for me, it changed a lot of things. it gave me a different outlook on religion and life and I'm a diagnosed schizophrenic so I resonated with lain to a extremely high degree because of how much I related to her, I'm even planning to change my legal first name to Lain lol. SEL is my favorite franchise of all time but I'm open to critique on the story or stuff like that. I'm not gonna get angry or anything I was just curious to see what you guys thought of it. I was honestly surprised by the mixed reviews for SEL on animalist because I thought it was so good, but obviously ill be respectful of your opinion.

hello! recently I've been learning to read write speak and understand Japanese as I would absolutely love to live there someday. I just wanted to know if there was anyone here that is also studying Japanese or knows Japanese. I don't need any help, but I would love some friendly advice for apps or study pacing as I'm still figuring that out! a study buddy or someone that's fluent in it would also be greatly appreciated.

I go by lain and I joined this forum to hopefully make some friends with similar interests as me.my favorite genres are psychological horror and magical. i also love visual novels, not necessarily Japanese ones I mainly enjoy more obscure ones like dialtown or cemetery mary but feel free to bring up anything you think i would enjoy! my two favorite animes are serial experiments lain and the ps1 game and madoka magica! I hope to live in japan someday so I have been recently studying Japanese and the alphabet as i would like to become fluent in it.
