I’m James Brown, based in Los Angeles. I currently work with a small team at Super Tool, where we build simple online tools for things like editing PDFs and images. I’m really into making digital stuff that just works—no fluff, no unnecessary steps.
I’m a big believer in clean design and solving real problems in the simplest way possible. Most of what I do is a mix of product work, content writing, and thinking through user experiences (with a lot of trial and error).
Outside of work
I’ve been into anime for a while now—definitely not an expert, but I love getting lost in a good story or cool animation style. I tend to bounce between genres depending on my mood, but some favorites include Steins ;Gate, Mob Psycho 100, and Violet Evergarden.
I work with a small team on a digital tools project, but outside of that, anime is one of my go-to ways to relax. I also enjoy wandering around the city, listening to music, and reading (sometimes manga, sometimes just weird Wikipedia deep dives).
