I have no idea what is even going on in this film. I dropped at one hour and I was like "Nope, I am done with this shit.". It's stupid that people think this movie is good just because it's a classic. I just couldn't follow what was going on. Yes there is a rape scene, and gory fights and that's about it. It's boring as fuck, aside from that and the only plot I remember is the one where the main protagonist remembers the guy from his past was still alive. There was nothing engaging about this film.

I'm really disappointed with Devilman and struggle to understand why it's considered a cult classic. After watching sixteen episodes, I found it repetitive and unengaging. The plot feels formulaic, with demons constantly attacking Miki only for Akira to save her, over and over. The idea that Devilman betrays the demons just because he falls in love with Miki feels weak and unconvincing. I decided to drop the series at episode 16, as it wasn't holding my interest. In my opinion, the OVAs epically the birth was far more enjoyable than the anime series.
