None of those song names sound familiar outside of the ghost in the shell stuff, but ill check them out over the next couple days when i get time. Thanks for this, I kinda got busy and gave up searching for a bit

Bit of an update, think I maybe found a lead. Haven't found the song yet, but i think its the same vocalist that did Rise from ghost in the shell(or someone who sounds very similar). I know yoko kanno was the composer for that but im not sure if she did vocals too. Gonna start digging on this one

That's not the song. Voice is female and its in english(at least the chorus is). I think its ending credits but I can't be sure. Probably been 20-25 years since i first heard it.This isn't something I watched often, so im assuming its from a series that had a short run or a movie, but I've looked through all the toonami and adult swim shows from back then and can't find it. Could've been from some other TV channel. I know syfy and fuse had an anime block for a short time but the only things I remember from them was gundam 00 and ergo proxy, and the song doesn't come from either of them. It might be from some random dvd I found in the dollar general bin as a kid that i watched once, or it might not even be from an anime at all and my brain could just be making up a false memory

Recently heard a song over the speakers at a mall and it triggered a nostalgia memory. Kinda sad song, chorus has the words "meant to be" in there. Pretty sure it was the opening/ending of a toonami or adult swim anime I saw as a kid(mightve come from somewhere else, but its at least in the early/mid 2000's time range) but im drawing a blank. Currently going through the themes of all the shows they aired during that timeframe, but thats gonna take awhile.Any help would be greatly appreciated
