[1] [2] [3] [4]. But LadyDevimon does usually overpower Angewomon by the end. In Digimon Adventure 01, LadyDevimon knocks Angewomon out of the sky in their infamous catfight by landing a brutal roundhouse kick at the end of their slapping match. [5] During their rematch in the Human World in Digimon Adventure 02, the two end up in a mid-air grapple, and LadyDevimon starts pinning Angewomon down by twisting her arms against her sides. [6]. Speed: Angewomon (7) vs LadyDevimon (9) LadyDevimon is significantly faster than Angewomon, consistently being and get behind Angewomon, as well as to dodge her Holy Arrows and teleport out of her sight. [7] [8] [9] [10] Stamina: Angewomon (6) vs LadyDevimon (7) LadyDevimon seems to have a little more endurance, usually outlasting Angewomon in battles of attrition. [11] [12] Special: Angewomon (9) vs LadyDevimon (8) They both possess powerful holy/dark abilities, but Angewomon's abilities seem more versatile, including healing, paralyzing her enemies, and empowering her allies. LadyDevimon's powers include summoning demonic familiars, teleportation, and corrupting her foes. Healing: Angewomon (10) vs LadyDevimon (9) Angewomon has powerful healing abilities. [13] LadyDevimon possesses vampiric regeneration. [14]. Intelligence: Angewomon (8) vs LadyDevimon (10) LadyDevimon's cunning makes her the better strategist. LadyDevimon uses her Darkness Wave to control the field of battle, variously deploying it to repel an onslaught from multiple enemies or using the summoned bats to get behind the distracted Angewomon. [15] [16] [17] Battle Skill: Angewomon (5) vs LadyDevimon (8) LadyDevimon dominates Angewomon in terms of battle-savvy and combat skills. During their many bouts on Spiral Moutain, LadyDevimon always lands the final and more spectacular hits--uppercut, [18] haymaker, [19] hammer throw, [20] and the final roundhouse kick that knocks Angewomon out. [21] Total: Angewomon (51) vs LadyDevimon (58) Overall, LadyDevimon is more powerful. It's not so much that Angewomon is significantly weaker in terms of power, though LadyDevimon does seem a little stronger. But LadyDevimon has the overall edge in terms of superior cunning, tactical intelligence, and battle skills. We see this play out in each of their battles, which are always intense and closely-fought, but with LadyDevimon consistently coming up ahead one-on-one. During their first battle on Spiral Mountain in Digimon Adventure 01, LadyDevimon defeats Agewomon in their catfight, knocking her out of the sky. AtlurKabuterimon needs to intervene to save Angewomon. [22] During their rematch in the Human World during 02, LadyDevimon overpowers Angewomon again after a fierce mid-air grapple. Fortunately, Garudamon and Weregarumon arrive to save Angewomon once more. [23] Angewomon has to ask for Hawkmon help to jogress and fight LadyDevimon as Silphymon. She says that that even though she'd love to fight LadyDevimon as Angewomon, but she doesn't have enough energy to Digivolve back to Perfect level (JP) and just not strong enough to handle LadyDevimon on her own (EN). Silphymon does fare a little better, but LadyDevimon does win in the end again in a manner that mirrors the Angewomon vs LadyDevimon battle: A fierce aerial dogfight/catfight that ends with LadyDevimon knocking her rival out of the sky with a decisive hit, an unexpected intervention that distracts her from landing the killing blow, and a final comeback victory for the protagonists. [24]. In Digimon Re-Arise, LadyDevimon wins the in-game battle; though story-wise, all that seems to happen is that Angewomon is down just long enough for LadyDevimon to beat her to Digitamamon's Cake Shop. [25]. This is notable because they're both Perfect Level, so you might expect Angewomon would have the type advantage of being a vaccine/angel Digimon. But in the Digimon Adventure series, we do see demonic/fallen angel Digimon like LadyDevimon, Devimon, SkullSatamon, and Lucemon FM being portrayed as stronger than their evolutionary level, so this suggests that "falling from grace" in the Digimon Universe entails a kind of a corrupting bargain for power.
