what's the diff. between fma and fmab? I mean what's the remake and not? *don't spoil please currently watching FMA*

FMA was the first one, FMAB is the remake, FMA was done while the manga was not finished and if i remember right it doesn't fully follow it. FMAB was done once the manga was done and it sticks to the manga very very tightly. most people will say FMAB is the better one, it is also the highest rated anime. i would suggest watching FMAB

Davis basically was right, but the big difference is that FMA (2003) follows the early magna relatively, and ended up being very different around Rush Valley or so. FMAB or FMA (2009), does not follow the magna very well, but starting approximately with Rush Valley or the incident with Greed, it ends up being pretty faithful.
