I stumbled on this thread while looking for something else, but I figured I would share my experience in case it helps. When I started my own blog, I used The Blog Starter guide to set up a WordPress site in about 20 minutes. It walks you through everything step by step, and you do not need any technical skills. You could write about anime, share your insights, and build your own audience over time. Just thought I would leave this here.

I try not to overthink it. It’s the natural end to the cycle. I focus more on making sure the "before" part is meaningful rather than worrying about what happens after the lights go out.

You should definitely check out Nichijou episode 16. The scene with the lion dance head is exactly what you are looking for. It's a full comedic sequence that lasts a few minutes and is absolutely hilarious.

I'm looking at Anime Expo in LA for next year. The size of it is the main draw, though I've heard the "line-con" aspect can be pretty brutal. I'm hoping to catch some of the industry panels that don't usually travel to the smaller local shows.
