Am I the only one noticing these trend of sensitive creators dismissing any sort of criticism, constructive or not, as being "Haters?"

  Not that I really mind being called a hater if it's synonymous with "critic". But identifying myself as a hater would come off as misleading.

  Oh, it's more common than you think. One particular writer I've seen, however, seems to LIVE by that. Hilariously, he thinks he has a massive fanbase that just doesn't speak up. I'll bet you if it was half as big as he thinks it is, more people would defend him, and his original work would sell better.
