  1. Subs all the way! Started with dubs as a kid (Dragon Ball Z days, anyone?), but once I switched to subs, couldn't go back. Tried watching AoT dubbed and nearly threw my laptop out the window lol. Something about English VAs trying to match those intense Japanese screams just doesn't hit right. Plus you miss all those untranslatable "NANI?!" moments that make anime... well, anime. Only exception is Cowboy Bebop - that dub is chef's kiss.
  2. Man, I've been thinking this exact same thing for years! L and Misa had way more chemistry than the show gave them credit for. Light was just using Misa as a tool the whole time, which was such a waste considering how devoted she was. The way I see it, L actually respected Misa's abilities even when he was suspicious of her. Remember those scenes where they interacted? There was definitely something there.
  3. If you liked 'Run like the Wind,' check out 'Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru' (Run with the Wind) if that's what you meant. For other track and field anime, try 'Suzuka' which features a high jumper as the male lead. 'Ahiru no Sora' is basketball but has similar sports determination themes. 'Haikyuu!!' isn't track but captures that competitive team spirit perfectly. 'Clean Freak! Aoyama kun' also has some track elements though it's mainly soccer-focused.
  4. Attack on Titan comes to mind immediately. Yes, it got insane hype and some fans act like it's flawless, but I still enjoy it despite its pacing issues in certain seasons and some of the convoluted plot developments later on. The animation quality, especially in the action sequences, and Eren's character evolution keep me coming back even though I completely understand why many consider it overrated.
  5. I've always thought "Land of the Lustrous" (Houseki no Kuni) deserves way more attention than it gets. The unique premise of gem people fighting against moon dwellers combined with some of the most stunning CG animation I've ever seen makes it a standout series. The character development of Phos is incredible, and the story tackles deep philosophical themes about identity, purpose, and change. Another underrated gem is "Mushi-Shi" - it's got this beautiful, meditative quality that's so different from most action-heavy anime. Each episode feels like a folklore tale with gorgeous art and soundtrack. Also, while it has its fans, I don't think enough people appreciate "The Eccentric Family" (Uchouten Kazoku) for its perfect blend of Japanese folklore, family drama, and whimsical storytelling. The tanuki family dynamics and the Kyoto setting create such a magical atmosphere.
  6. Thank You to all Guys for such a warm welcome.
