I had a guess that true grit with one but second wind is one I never taken my self maybe I should give it a go (I am a very aggro player so I have mainly attack cards and even though I know is it could mess me up) 

im really impressed you won though with only 3 energy :O.  A well rounded deck is always good. I want to try for a minimal deck so a deck with 5 cards are less so I can get the achievement for it.

apostheosis is pretty nice I think for a while I used it when ever I could unless like all my cards where upgraded. I think chrysalis is new ive never used it before.

you have to abuse it or it will abuse you lol I mean unless your into that haha. 

the defect can get really crazy, you can get a ton of orbs or play a ton of powers in one turn and other things XD but I like when it gets a little crazy.

XD it's never luck always skill never let anyone tell you otherwise hehe even if you're playing dice. I'm just going to assume everything fell into place and your plan worked out perfectly cause you are the main character lol.

Did you have something that exhausted cards ? Anger is a fun card tbh because I like to imagine the ironclad is just punching the enemy out cause of how annoyed he is to have to fight them. Ya that would add to it I'm just surprised your deck is 44 card in total (it shows how bigger your deck is before all the changes you make in battle at the top corner) .

Guard builds are the best imo, there is a few cool one you can make and most of them can get you up to like 100+ block and you just igonre the enemy barricade works super well with set up like you found out cause it can stay up forever once it starts. 

you are now the slay the spire pokemon trainer, Is your goal to get all the cards in one deck and be the very best?

 I mean the armor is pretty heavy I'm sure it is like 999 snorlax lol

Lol that's awesome XD maybe your just amazing at the game, idk I had a ton of trouble with the game starting off (I still do tbh but I think I can clear a normal run pretty easy now) but when you get those runs that just work out perfectly, it makes the game so much fun.

Though I just noticed your deck is thicc XD damn.

Not sure if you've tried it but when I starting out I loved the heavy blade decks where you just built up strength and hit for 200 damage (I maybe have lost a few runs cause I was forcing it)
