  1. Anime is easier to consume because I often watch it while doing something else like homework or farming in a game or doing crafts irl. I can understand Japanese so I don't need to look at the subs to know what's going on. I also like the OSTs etc. Manga...When you read it you have to focus on reading it. It has to be REALLY good for me to spend time on it - I enjoy reading a lot but my love are novels and short stories. Also when following current manga it's really annoying to have to wait a week/month/several months/year for a new chapter Not to mention relying on scans. I used to be a translator and I know how hard the poor scanlators work, for FREE at that lol so I'd never complain about that at least. Alternatively you read a manga after it's been out for a while and the hype has died out so there would be nobody to talk about it, which is the lesser evil imo. And third, some JUST GO ON FOR TOO LONG, like I ain't reading allat, geez....
  2. I'm watching Fate/Strange Fake. I love Enkidu a lot (and Gil of course).
  3. Hello! Nice to meet you! My name is HamsterGod but you can call me Hammy. I was looking for an old-style forum about anime and found this one so I registered. About me...I like anime, obviously. I've been actively watching anime since around 2008. Nowadays I'm actually going back and watching older anime I missed back then. I studied Japanese at school and I'm fluent. My favorite franchise is probably Fate. My favorite animes change depending on when you ask but perhaps Durarara, Mawaru Penguindrum, Nichijou, stuff like that. I haven't watched most of the more recent mainstream shounen lol I prefer the hidden gems and seasonal stuff. From the holy trinity of anime, manga and games, I definitely like anime the most. I just love the voice acting (Japanese) and OST aspect of it, also the moving colorful pictures, lol. I'm basically a salaryman so I don't have much time to spend on weebing out unfortunately... Other than that...I'm from Bulgaria and I love yogurt lol. I like reading and writing, also drawing sometimes. I also like learning about folklore. And I love learning languages. I can speak Bulgarian, English and Japanese freely, German at around B2/C1, I can also get by in French and Chinese, I studied Korean for a long time but suck at it, also Spanish but it was a long time ago and nowadays I can only read it lol, and I'm learning Mongolian, Italian, and Old Bulgarian/Old Church Slavonic now. I've also studied a bit of Latin in uni but forgotten it nowadays. So, yeah, I came here to make friends with similar interests in a more retro way because I've grown tired of mainstream social media. Yoroshiku
