I have taken my interest in mangas once again after years of temporarily deciding to move on from them, thinking it should be just something that I was so fond in my childhood. Little did I know how much mangas have nurtured my creative side. Lately I have been reading Vampire Knight again all from the start (yes, the one with the scandalous incest themed manga) which was one of my favorites back then in my junior high school (around 2008). I didn't get to finish the series because at some point of waiting for the next volumes to be published, I kinda dropped and jumped on other bandwagons of so many more fresher, strongly-developed series like Gakuen Alice, etc,...
To be honest, the only reason has compelled me to come back to pick up Vampire Knight where I left off is to be able to experience first-hand how morally unsettling this serious is. Besides, I still love the super sharp, defined, striking and mesmerizing art style of Matsuri Hino. I think the highschool me still has a soft spot for the manga that aesthetically captured my heart back then.
