Hello! Were you able to attend the convention? How was your experience? I'm going to Anime Midwest next month and would love to hear how your event went. Any tips or highlights you'd recommend?
😀

Yes I was. Very well put together. I'm looking forward to going to this year's con as well. Hope you had fun at your con.

Well, damn...Just got notice that due to Hurricane Milton, Wasabicon is being postponed. The new dates are Nov. 22-24. The weekend before Thanksgiving!

What are things coming to, postponing a con just because of a bit of bad weather.

But seriously, the pictures and reports I've seen on the news look like there's been some really catastrophic damage and sadly some loss of life. I hope you're OK and haven't suffered too much damage where you are.

We were spared the high levels of destructive force that came with those storms. Only dealt with some downed trees and power outages. A little flooding as well if you were near the beaches or the river. The con chairs are giving time for our friends further south to try to recover from this disaster and use the con as a distraction from all of this. At least that's how I see it. Still hope to see all my peeps there.

It's good to hear that you avoided the worst of the force of the storms and are OK.  A con is probably a good thing to take people's mind off the effects of the storm.
