As in some are bad and some are good.) anime companies rip people off who buy anime. A good idea is Bleach. After the 5th season, they went into releasing volumes instead of the box sets. I thought it was obvious that they were trying to squeeze every penny out of the fan base on that. Another thing that I noticed was Hell Girl and The Soultaker where they only released the volumes instead of a box set even after the anime season was finished. It was pretty frustrating.
