Best New Anime of 2018

2018 has officially come to a close, and 2019 is already off to a good start . . .

However, I'm still left with the remnants of all those good recently released animes . . . Goblinslayer, Saiki Kusuo, The Time I Was Reincarnated as a Slime, and so much more. Anybody got a favorite anime they want to throw out there?

In my opinion, the best anime for me has to be Saiki Kusuo no Psi Nan

This show is definitely a must-see! I mean, it's a typical supernatural-comedy . . . but the variety of anime tropes within each episode along with the constant 4th wall breaks is hilarious. The main protagonist, Saiki Kusuo, is all but bland in my eyes. The people around him are so colorful in comparison to him, and

The stand out series had to be A Place Further than the Universe & Yuru Camp for me. Other notables: Golden Kamuy, Megalobox, Planet With, & Asobi Asobase

A Place Further than the Universe does look promising from what I've seen/read.  Haven't watched it yet, but definitely on my list.  Asobi Asobase didn't tickle my fancy.  Non-funny jokes, mediocre art.  I dropped it.  Hope that sort of thing doesn't become a trend.  Yuru Camp was good.  (And Yama no susume as well... kind of in the same vein.) 

The others ....  I'm a binge-watcher and usually (at least) a season behind so there's a lot of recent stuff I haven't gotten to yet.  I liked Goblin Slayer though, and the first season of Tensura (slime).
