Doesn’t seem like a low score to me, even then maybe people are just being liberal with the first episode to wait and see?

Berserk is the most egregious example for me, the 1997 anime is the only good adaptation imo the movies were pretty meh and the 2016 anime was atrocious. Others for me are Vinland saga, Kingdom, Gantz, Ajin, Blame! and One punch man I generally much prefer reading manga to watching anime though so for me it’s more of an exception to prefer the anime over the manga

I’m currently trying to learn Japanese for fun, but I don’t know anyone who actually speaks Japanese that I could talk to. I eventually want to reach a near native level fluency so I can watch/read anime/manga in the original Japanese and eventually go there when I graduate and earn enough money (ik this would fit better on a blog but I can’t figure out how to create one lol)

I personally like when an MC is strong but not unreasonably strong, aside from shows like OPM I think the potential for the MC to lose always makes it more tense and engaging. I think the coolest characters are ones who aren’t untouchable at all but still carry on anyway, like Jack from Baki, Guts from Berserk, or early Tanjiro

New here but not new to forum posting, I love anime and video games since I was a young kid but don’t get any chances to talk about them much. I really just wanna have a place to discuss them and meet new people. I have a lot to talk about lol
