Some other cool ones would be puffer fish, otters, dugong, or killer whales.
I can definitely do something on bettas!~ I love those things, they are so smart.

When is shark week this year? Do you know?
I'm not sure tbh~ usually in July sometimes though the times are random each year. I don't think they announced it yet either.
17 hours ago, Lucky said:Dammnn I always liked goblin sharks haha it's cool to see a blog about them
I didn't know a lot of these facts.
Yea they are cool lil guys lol
@Eris I'll add it to my list, and @Zeref I think I'm gonna do that, I think the ones no one's heard much of are more interesting anyways lol
@Sasuke Yeah, that's true lol and some of the species that have been discovered are sooooo weird
3 hours ago, Shinzi said:Nice work on writing this Serey. Very informative and interesting to read. I didn't know much about this one but I'm glad he's not in the water around here
Thanks Shinzi~! No, I don't think you have to worry about them where you are lol

I wouldn't know about them either except I first saw them on shark week last year
I used to learn so much by watching that lol I was obsessed with watching it and still am actually~
@Kari yeah basically dinos in shark form lol they are interesting lil guys
@Animedragon I think there's probably a lot, especially ones we don't even know about since so much of the ocean is unexplored and new creatures are found all the time~ That's why I'm most interested in deep-sea creatures over other ones.
@SasukeI always feel like I sound insane to say so, but I believe there could be, since yeah it's so unexplored and there's creatures we have no idea about it yet there.
@Jellal LOL oh c'mon they wanna hug ;-;
@Ayame You'd give it a hug then right? XD

I didn't know some of these things, that they lived since dinosaurs and haven't changed much is very interesting. They do look like they belong in the dinosaur era.
I know rightttt lol I love them ~
they aren't too widely known about and I think some people haven't heard of them.
16 hours ago, Zariel said:"Although the goblin shark may look intimidating, it poses no real threat to humans."
They look like the scariest most dangerous shark I've seen looking like that lol
I thought they were smaller than 10-13 foot too so that makes it worse. I thought they were 4-6 feet long. I guess I'll never have to worry about it tho since I won't be swimming that deep in the ocean for any reasons...
The first goblin shark was discovered off the coast of Japan in 1898.
I thought it was more recent like 1980s huh, oh well
Cool blog Serey
But they aren't XD and tbh I was actually a little shocked when I found out they can reach 13 ft too. In my mind I always had them somewhere around 4 ft and on the smaller side ~

5 hours ago, Zeref said:This was the best yet. They are really interesting to learn about and it's cool how smart they are. What kind of puzzles can they solve?
Ty Pessikins<3
They can interact with Rubiks cubes, they can solve those L-shaped plastic puzzles though, they can open childproof locks/jars, navigate mazes, and escape locked aquariums pretty easily. There's a lot of videos on YT of them solving puzzles and stuff, it's pretty cool.1 hour ago, Zariel said:Idk where you are but we have fish markets here it's easy to find there, I see it a lot. If you have a place that sells seafood near you they probably sell it or you can order it online too. If you don't wanna cook it yourself, idk but probably a high end seafood restuarant carries or a Spanish restuarant because you can get grilled octopus there. When I had it, I had some kind of dried octopus snack in a bag.
What blog are you doing next?
Probably goblin sharks tomorrow if I have time tomorrow, might be a Saturday project.

@Zariel I don't like it either lol
@Kari it's actually hard to say because they have different types of intelligence. Dolphins are smart with social things, self-awareness, using tools, and even passing knowledge to younger generations and octopus are good with long and short term memories, problem solving and complex puzzles. Both are able equally smart.
@Animedragon yeah they are actually super smart even with using tools to open their food or solve problems.
Thanks all ~ glad you enjoyed reading

Heck yea! This was fun to read. I love octopuses they are cool to watch do stuff. I've seen some vids of them unlocking doors and going through really small holes.
ooo yeah, I saw one a few nights ago on an Insta video tbh, it went through this TINYYYY hole, and I know they can do that because they have no bones but it's always like wowww every time I see it lol

For some reason I thought jellyfish were the really smart ones but than when I thought about that I realized I was thinking about octopus and thought it was jellyfish because of the tentacles
It would be nice to see information on octopus because I think they are really neat.
That's a good idea I should do octopus tomorrow ~

@Kari ~ there are Lion's Mane stinging jellies in the gulf of Maine, not sure if that's some place you go or not a lot
5 hours ago, Kazuma Satou said:Jellyfish are cooool!! i thought they ate fish like some corals do... guess i'll drop the idea of having one as a pet
btw i wonder how my uncle picked one up without getting stung
As i know it'll make the pain worst
Could've been a moon jelly. They usually can't penetrate human skin because they have weak stingers.
@Ayame not sure about actually reversing humans to babies lmao but definitely possible to use some of the things they're learning

2 hours ago, Zariel said:This was interesting too. I wish I could have a jellyfish but they seem really complicated to take care of, so I think I'll stay with just having normal fish. The pictures from the aquarium are really good too, I haven't seen such good pics of them before by someone. You got stung by a jellyfish once before didn't you?
They can be pretty complicated to own if you don't know what you're doing or if you don't have the right kind of tank. You definitely wanna make sure you have all the right things to own one or they'll just die so they are more complicated than a fish.
And yes I got stung by one when I was doing volunteer work at the aquarium in Chicago lol
47 minutes ago, Shinzi said:I like reading this and found it very informative. Nice work Serey. I am curious though, in the event of a jellyfish sting, what do you do? I've heard that old rumor about peeing on it too but never believed it
Thanks ~! There's debate about what the right method is tbh. I've had some people I work with swear you should use baking soda on them after you soak it in hot water, and other people say vinegar soaking is the best method, and other people say believe it or not, meat tenderizer. Honestly I think any of these methods is just about as good as the other. For mine, vinegar and hot water and pain relief medicine did the trick but I wasn't stung by a large one or a super dangerous one either.

Another fascinating and informative blog entry. I knew that jellyfish had stings and some types could be dangerous to humans but most of what you wrote was new to me. When I visited the London Aquarium they had a tank full of jellyfish some very plain and others with beautiful long lace-like tendrils which flowed behind then as they pulsated and moved gracefully around, no two were exactly alike.
The photos you took of them are really good.
They are really beautiful tbh and I find them mesmorizing to watch in aquariums ~

You go right ahead and get stung by one and pee on it and you tell me how that works out for you

I'll do jellyfish tomorrow~! I was going to write one of these tonight, but I'm too tired at the moment, so tomorrow it is ~^^
& as far as I know, sea sheep aren't venomous or pose any threat to humans.
@Kari ~Right lol it's always the cutest things you can't touch ;-;
