What was your very first Mystery Anime you've seen and which one you've watched over the years would you consider your unbeatable favorite?

To me: Hyouka, Erased,Tokyo Ghoul and Durarara!

Hyouka is not an action based mystery anime but honestly one of the best mystery animes out there right now. I'd agree adding Detective Conan but i haven't been able to keep up with all the episodes and dropped it back then. 

Tokyo Ghoul and Durarara are both good shows, couldn't identify them as Mystery animes because they're very action based imo but added them into the list. I liked Erased but things were too obvious between the 5-7 episodes even though it was one of the best animes in 2016 if we judge by the huge popularity.

I have a fairly amount of knowledge about AMV's so assuming it's your first try - it's alright, allow me to give my opinion about the amv of yours.

First of all, try to use different scenes of the anime you are doing an amv of that. Don't use subtitles, they look badly. Add some colour effects, in case you use an advantage video software like Sony Vegas and work on your transitions. I guess the most important part is to sync the scenes with the music.

Mayoiga, eh? I don't know how to put this, but, it is a pretty bad anime. If you still want to watch it, ignore my comment, see for yourself. If you like it, good for you.

I don't think there is something such as a bad anime, it depends on the viewers tendency whether he likes or dislike it. Anyways, thanks for the forewarning.

I'm currently watching Hyouka and planning to start with Mayoiga afterwards (this week if possible). Depends on how much spare time i'll get during the week.

I have read what it says and Berserk is a fantasy series. Griffith's main weapon is a sword, or used to be, and reality manipulation isn't magic, only to those who are 3D which in this case, Griffith is not.

I haven't made any implications in regards of your actual post, it was rather a reply to your question. Undoubtedly Berserk belongs to the group of Fantasy Warriors and is therefore totally right at place.

• Must be fantasy themed! So samurais, ninjas, kunoichi, knights... anything along those lines.
  
• No characters if their MAIN weapon is magic or guns - best left for another topic.

I'd have never thought to meet another Kingdom fellow, apparently there are NOT many people who watch chinese related animes. I hope they will release a third season as i liked the plot of the anime alot. The fact they improved the quality/drawings of the second season hyped me up.

Hunter x Hunter is a must-see, it's one of these animes such like FMA which i'd rather prefer over all the new upcoming animes.

Isn't there AnimeLab and such for the EU though, since Crunchyroll supposedly has less content for viewers outside of certain countries than that site?

I made a quick research in regards of your comment and it seems to be allowed as long as it's a paid service which means those streamer sites such as Crunchyroll must have the licence for the animes they stream on their plattform, otherwise it's considered as unlawful. But for a better insight of the matter, you may want to read this. However, i'm uncertain how this will affect the whole anime streamers, i found this out recently by an acquaintance who has received a letter with a fine for watching streams illegally.

Streaming in EU has become very risky, due the fact that the European Court of Justice ruled that “the sale of a multimedia player which enables films that are available illegally on the internet to be viewed easily and for free on a television screen could constitute an infringement of copyright". The streaming of films which have been illegally accessed on the Internet so far is unlawful and may result into a fine. This is the current situation at the moment, although it's always been prohibited to stream animes or any other illegal media on the internet but now it's official and this rule will be executed with all strictness, especially in Germany. I used to watch my animes through kissanime but moved to 9anime cause these picture verifications on each anime episode were getting really annoying.

It seems to NOT work for me for undetermined reasons. I've followed the introductions according this but seemingly the music player on my profile doesn't play the music. I made a quick amateurish recording concerning this issue.

I myself started to watch anime on a regular base 5 years ago, is that a coincidence? If you don't count Naruto/Pokemon etc.
