  1. I think I’m somewhere in between all of you. I also read a lot online first, but for me buying manga is more about the feeling of the series than just how good it is objectively. There are series that I know are great, but I still don’t feel the need to own them. And then there are others that maybe aren’t perfect, but I just want them on my shelf. The ending thing mentioned above is also very real though. I’ve had that happen a couple of times, where I was really invested and then the ending kind of killed my motivation to keep collecting physical volumes. I think I only buy manga when I’m pretty sure I’ll want to revisit it later, not just read it once.
  2. One thing I’ve also noticed is that even the current predictions and odds don’t seem that decisive this year. If you look at how they’re moving, Finland is still leading most of the time, but the gap to the chasing pack isn’t that big and keeps shifting. That kind of movement usually tells me the race is still pretty open, especially with rehearsals coming up.
  3. Hey everyone. I’ve been following Eurovision 2026 a bit more closely lately, and the more I look at it, the more it feels like one of those years where there isn’t a completely obvious winner yet. From what I’ve seen so far, Finland seems to be the country people mention most often as the current favorite, with France and Denmark usually not too far behind. Eurovisionworld also has Finland leading at the moment, which is interesting, but I still don’t get that “this is 100% the winner” feeling from this edition. What makes it more interesting to me is that this feels like the kind of year where rehearsals and staging could completely change the conversation. Some entries look strong on paper, but Eurovision is full of songs that only really click once you see the full performance. On the other hand, there are always a few songs that get a lot of early hype and then suddenly feel much smaller once they hit the actual stage. That’s why I’m trying not to treat the current predictions as anything fixed. Also, maybe it’s just me, but this season feels a little quieter than some previous years. I’m seeing discussion, obviously, but not the same sense of one massive runaway favorite dominating everything. That probably makes this edition more fun, because it leaves more room for surprise. So I’m curious how other people are reading it right now. Who do you actually think could win Eurovision 2026? Are you buying the current Finland/France/Denmark narrative, or do you think someone else could jump up once rehearsals start?
  4. I’m kind of in between tbh. I do use apps sometimes because it’s just easier when I’m not at home, but I still prefer reading on a bigger screen. On my phone I feel like I get tired faster and I can’t really enjoy the art the same way. Lately I’ve been switching more to PC or browser reading, especially for longer series. It just feels more comfortable overall. I haven’t tried e-ink yet though, but after reading your comment @efaardvark that actually sounds like a really good option. Might look into that.
  5. Hey everyone, just joined the forum so I thought I’d introduce myself. I’m from Italy and I’ve been into anime for quite a while now, although I feel like I’m still discovering new stuff all the time.I don’t stick to just one genre, but I tend to enjoy more character-driven series or anything with a strong atmosphere. Some of my favorites are things like Attack on Titan, Death Note, and lately I’ve been getting more into slice of life and some older classics I missed.I’m also into music and I play guitar (still learning, but trying to get better), so I’m always curious about anime with good soundtracks or interesting openings.Main reason I joined is just to talk about anime, get recommendations, and see what other people are watching. Always feels like there’s too much out there and not enough time Anyway, glad to be here!
