Nep 4 Dead 2

Alright so for reasons I'm not sure of, I decided to start using a bunch of Neptunia mods on Left 4 Dead 2, which it turns out there are quite a lot of, until I've hit the point where more things are Neptunia themed than not. For any other Neptunia/L4D2 fans, I thought I'd share a list of the ones I've found and use and give people a place to share the Neptunia mods they've found/made as well. I'm going to start by listing out the ones I have, it's not a comprehensive of Neptunia mods by any means, just the ones I've found and liked the most.

If you don't know how to install them already, it's generally easy. If it's from the steam workshop, just open the page up in steam, click subscribe, and you're set. If it's from gamemaps or another such source, download the file, extract the .vpk file from the .zip file, and place the .vpk file in the addons folder, found at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\addons or a similar address.

The only mods I'm listing in this post that take more to install than those are the voice mods and a mod that changes the background of the main menu, they have their own instructions.

A few notes:

A.) All of the skins and voicepacks I'm sharing follow the scheme below. There are skins and a few voicepacks for other Neptunia characterss out there, but I've stayed away from those since they don't quite fit in as well with the others.

Ellis-Neptune/Purple Heart

Rochelle- Noire/ Black Heart

Nick- Blanc/White Heart

Coach- Vert/Green Heart

Zoey-Nepgear/Purple Sister

Bill-Uni/Black Sister

Francis- Ram/White Sister Ram

Louis- Rom/White Sister Rom

B) Some of the skins will say they conflict with ones for a different character, but they WILL work together.

C) Most character model replacers other than the first 8-pack I mention don't change the names, or don't do it properly. You can set the names to the Neptunia characters' by activating the first 8-pack skin set I have listed and deactivating any other skins. This will set the names to the Neptunia characters' for the next time you start the game. *I have learned how to solve this issue permanently by editing the mods. After I try it out a bit more and am sure it works, I can upload my fixed versions or share the method of fixing them so you can do it yourself.*

Sorry if this is messy and unorganized, I keep getting interrupted and losing track of what I was doing. Anyways, the two things I think most fans might be the most interested in are the character models and voice replacements, so I'll start with those and add any other things afterwards.

[spoiler=Character Models]

Character Models:

For many of the skin packs, the skins for each character can also be found individually. I'm only going to be posting those ones as part as a pack for now, I'll get to posting the individual versions in a bit. I will however post skins that I use which are not available in a pack and can only be found separately.

Packs:

1a) (8 Pack) Neptunia survivors (Left 4 Dead 2) An 8-pack skin set that changes the original survivors from the first game into the CPU Candidates, and the heroes introduced in L4D2 into the CPUs. This one also changes the character names to the respective Neptunia character's, and also features character portraits and incapacitation.

1b) Neptunia 8 Pack The Passing intro models (aka. Light Model) [Nepgear/Ram] (Left 4 Dead 2) This mod is specifically for the intro of the stage "The Passing". Most skin packs, such as the above one, don't work for Ram and Nepgear on the intro part of this stage so this compensates for that. Uses the same models from the above 8-pack.

(4 pack L4D1) CPU Candidate Maid Pack (Left 4 Dead 2) Replaces L4D1 Survivors with Candidates' maid outfits

(4 Pack L4D1) CPU candidates Cosplay Pack (Left 4 Dead 2) Replaces L4D1 Survivors with Candidates' cosplay outfits

(4 pack L4D2) CPU swimsuit (Neptunia V) (Left 4 Dead 2) A 4-pack changing replacing only the new L4D2 survivors with the CPU swimsuit outfits.

(8 pack) Neptunia Swimsuit (Left 4 Dead 2) An 8-pack replacing all survivors with the CPU and Candidates' swimwear costumes.

Single Skins (mostly CPU forms):

Whiteheart V (Neptunia V) (Left 4 Dead 2)

whvdomantrix.vpk An alternate skin made by the author above. It features White Heart in an alternate black leather hdd suit, and by that I mean it's kinda sorta a slightly risque dominatrix outfit. I regret nothing.

whvsw.vpk Another alternate skin by the same person, its White Heart in a Yoshika Miyafuji outfit. I have no clue who that is, but yeah here ya go.

White Heart V (Less armor) (Left 4 Dead 2) The same outfit as the first White Heart one, except the author decided to make it into a 2-piece swimsuit style outfit.

GreenHeart (Neptunia V) (Left 4 Dead 2)

Blackheart V (Neptunia V) (Left 4 Dead 2)

Purpleheart V (Neptunia V) (Left 4 Dead 2)

Steam Workshop :: Purplesister HDD Form 3 (Zoey)

Purplesister HDD V2 (Neptunia MK2) (Left 4 Dead 2)

Purplesister HDD V1 (Neptunia MK2) (Left 4 Dead 2)

Blacksister Form 1 (Neptunia mk2) (Left 4 Dead 2)

Blacksister Form 2 (Neptunia MK2) (Left 4 Dead 2)

Steam Workshop :: Whitesister (Ram) HDD Form 2

Steam Workshop :: Whitesister (Rom) HDD Form 2

[spoiler=Voice Mods]

Note that these all use the characters' Japanese voices. There are English voicepacks out there, but these ones are much better with a lot more dialogue. For comparison, the English voicepack for Nepgear is 12mb in size, the Japanese one here is 158mb, quite a ton more to it. If anybody really wants the English voices still though, I can link you to them. Seriously though, these ones are really well made, context sensitive and everything.

Important note here, these all have a more involved method of installation. Not at all difficult to do, but you will need to closely follow the instructions listed on each page for its respective mod.

Neptune Neptune JP Voice Pack (Ellis) (Left 4 Dead 2)

Purple Heart Purple Heart Voice Pack [Ellis] (Left 4 Dead 2)

Noire Noire JP Voice Pack (Rochelle) (Left 4 Dead 2)

Blanc Blanc JP Voice Pack (Nick) (Left 4 Dead 2)

Vert Vert JP Voice Pack (Coach) (Left 4 Dead 2)

Nepgear Vert JP Voice Pack (Coach) (Left 4 Dead 2)

Uni Uni JP Voice Pack (Bill) (Left 4 Dead 2)

Rom & Ram Rom and Ram JP Voice Pack (Louis and Francis) (Left 4 Dead 2)

[spoiler=Music & Dark Carnival Concert]

The Dark Carnival is probably my favorite part of the game for a number of reasons, one of which being it lends itself to some fun customization opportunities.

Hyperdimension Neptunia All in One (Left 4 Dead 2) This one is an all-in-one pack which contains all of the individual parts listed below. Quick and easy, and while the concert mod in it isn't the best, it's pretty good.

If you prefer more flexibility, you can get the parts of the above mob separately, letting you pick and choose which music and using an alternate concert mod if you wish.

Jukebox songs: Hyperdimension Neptunia Jukebox (Left 4 Dead 2)

Campaign starting music: Hyperdimension Neptunia Campaign Start (Left 4 Dead 2)

Campaign finale music: Hyperdimension Neptunia Campaign Finale (Left 4 Dead 2)

Death Music: Hyperdimension Neptunia Death (Left 4 Dead 2)

Music in saferoom: Hyperdimension Neptunia Death (Left 4 Dead 2)

Music when reaching a new saferoom: Hyperdimension Neptunia Safe (Left 4 Dead 2)

Music and decorations for the concert level: Hyperdimension Neptunia Concert (Left 4 Dead 2)

Credits music: Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2 Ending (Left 4 Dead 2)

Tank battle-music: Hyperdimension Neptunia Tank (Left 4 Dead 2)

Witch music: Hyperdimension Neptunia Witch (Left 4 Dead 2)

Steam Workshop :: 4 Goddesses Concert (Hyperdimension Neptunia) So far this is the best concert mod for the Dark Carnival that I've found. Pretty much every single decoration is swapped out for CPU themed ones, and the music isn't messed up like some are. It doesn't play nice with finale music mods and loading screen mods though.

This is by far the my favorite concert mod in terms of appearance and concept. It changes it to a 5bp theme, rather fitting, with all of the concert posters changed to 5pb posters and most decorations to Neptunia themed ones. Unfortunately though, the music is sped way up and sounds terrible, which is why I don't personally use it.Steam Workshop :: 5pb - Hyperdimension Neptunia Concert

**I'm currently working on a mod of my own which will hopefully fix the issues with the 5pb concert mod, if it works out I'll post it here.**

[spoiler=Menus/Backgrounds]

These mods change the main menu icons, though they do not change the background. I prefer the first, but they're both pretty cool.

Choujigen Game Neptunia Menu MOD (Left 4 Dead 2)

Choujigen Game Neptunia Menu V.2 (Left 4 Dead 2)

This is my favorite loading screen mod. It replicates the style of the original loading screens, but features Neptunia characters in place of the L4D characters, and also changes the main menu icons. Neptunia Goddess Campaign Posters (Left 4 Dead 2)

This one simply swaps out the entire loading screen for a Neptunia image. Steam Workshop :: Hyperdimension Neptunia Loading Screen

This one keeps to the original style of the loading screens for the most part, but replaces the survivor images with Neptunia images. Hyperdimension Neptunia Campaign Posters (Left 4 Dead 2)

This mod changes the background of the main menus, replacing the shuffling zombies with the dance video from HDN: Victory, music included. Just subscribing to it will NOT install it though, the subscription in this case only gives you the instructions to download and install the actual mod. I tried it out and it does work, so to save you some time, I'll give you the instructions and link to the file. Steam Workshop :: Choujigen Game Neptune Dance Move Background

Instructions To Download the MOD and Install it:

---------------------------

1. You need to get a program to open .rar files if you don't have one already.

2. Download the MOD itself [Link: Choujigen Game Neptune Dance Movie by Neptune and Nepgear Background.rar]

3. Next step is to open the RAR and extract the ".bink" (The MOD File) to [\Steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead 2\media\]

4. Let it now replace the old file.

5. Done.

6. If you have downloaded a "Background" MOD you need to do some extra Steps:

7. Now copy the you MOD "l4d2_background01" after it have replaced the old one.

8. Then Delete all the other files named "l4d2_background01" accept the one you just did replace.

9. Then past the same MOD that you did copy and keep both of the files. (It will say there is 2 of the same file) just keep them both.

10. Now rename the one named "l4d2_background01 (1)" to "l4d2_background02"

11. Then do this process again but with the other numbers 3-5.

12. Done.

[spoiler=Neptunia Themed Weapons/Items]

For some weapons I prefer "regular" weapon mods, but there are several of these Neptunia mods that I love.

In case you don't know, these mods generally change the appearance of in game weapons. They generally do not add entirely new weapons or change performance.

Steam Workshop :: Nepgear HDD - Chrome Shotgun A Nepgear themed chrome shotgun skin, one of my personal favorites.

Neptunia M16 (Left 4 Dead 2) An M-16 in Nepgear flavor.

Steam Workshop :: Black Heart - Assault Rifle A Noire themed skin for the SCAR assault rifle.

Steam Workshop :: White Heart - Ak47 A Blanc flavored AK-47, another favorite.

Steam Workshop :: Purple Heart - Spas Shotgun A Purple Heart styled spas shotgun.

Steam Workshop :: Purple Heart Combat Shotgun reskin An alternative Purple Heart spas.

Steam Workshop :: Black Sister Military Sniper Rifle Reskin Uni themed sniper rifle, YES.

Steam Workshop :: Whitehearts's Axe Changes the fireaxe to White Heart's axe.

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=508021045 Changes the golf club into Green Heart's Spear. Really odd pairing, and I haven't seen it in-game for myself yet, but yeah lol.

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=507452665 Replaces the katana with a Purple Heart style one. Cool looking and glows, but kinda big.

http://www.gamemaps.com/details/8241 A different style of Purple Heart katana

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=506773658 Swaps the machete with Black Heart's sword. Too big for my liking, but pretty glow effect.

http://www.gamemaps.com/details/8837 Swaps out the machete for a different Black Heart style sword

http://www.gamemaps.com/details/8177 Changes the guitar to 5pb's guitar.

http://www.gamemaps.com/details/15194 Changes the pistols to a Ram and Rom theme, love the idea.

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=484981218 Uni flavor hunting rifle, the design isn't spectacular but still kinda spiffy.

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=456788725 IF styled grenade launcher

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=459757929 Yellow Heart themed M60

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=489688334 An Iris Heart Auto shotty, really like this one.

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=455600247 A White Heart design M16. I don't particularly care for this one, but still cool.

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=496138403 Yellow Heart Mac-10

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=459755067 I prefer the Blanc one, but this Iris Heart AK is pretty sweet.

http://www.gamemaps.com/details/8316 Replaces the police baton with... Yellow Heart's claws lol. Kind of a weird match but hey why not.

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=177320498 Neptunia Molotovs

http://www.gamemaps.com/details/7639 Neptune themed Desert Eagle

http://www.gamemaps.com/details/8235 Changes out the baseball and cricket bats for Ram and Rom's Staves

http://www.gamemaps.com/details/8201 Replaces the garden gnome with a Neptune doll xD

http://www.gamemaps.com/details/8214 Changes the frying pan to one of Plutia's dolls, haven't actually tried this one so no clue if it's

http://www.gamemaps.com/details/8943 Changes the AK to one of Uni's rifles. It isn't the prettiest, but kinda cool.

http://www.gamemaps.com/details/9578 Compa themed medkit, love it.

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=495068413 Compa themed pills and adrenaline.

[spoiler=Scenery (Vending Machines, Computer screens, etc.)]

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=481914202 This just replaces the posters specifically for the streets saferoom of the Dead Center Campaign, and that's all. Small and trivial, but why not?

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=134946082 Reskins vending machines with a Purple Heart image.

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=245833729 Blanc flavored vending machines.

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=245844707 Noire flavored vending machines

Vert flavor vending machines

http://www.gamemaps.com/details/8041 Thought the medical cabinets needed more love? Here ya go. Decorates the medical cabinets with some slightly fanservicey official art.

The remaining all replace the computer screen backgrounds:

http://www.gamemaps.com/details/6888 Blanc, Rom, and Ram

http://www.gamemaps.com/details/6890 Candidates in goddess form

http://www.gamemaps.com/details/6424 Neptune and Nepgear

http://www.gamemaps.com/details/6887 Noire and Uni

http://www.gamemaps.com/details/6891'>http://www.gamemaps.com/details/6891 The CPUs in Goddess form

http://www.gamemaps.com/details/6891 Features all of the CPUs and candidates

Finally, I'll mention this mod, which gives a HDN: VII theme to scenery in the game as well as the opening animation, loading screens, main menu, and main menu background. I personally haven't tried this one, but it does seem to have some nice artwork. http://www.gamemaps.com/details/14927

That's all I can do for now, I'll be updating this after awhile once I have a chance to sit down and focus on one thing without life constantly happening, as well as when I finish making my own edits to some mods.

Thank you so much for this @SanguineTear.

This totally adds a new dimension to Left 4 Dead 2. (o^.^o)

I've installed the 8 character model pack and the 4 main CPU voice packs so far as well as the first all in one concert pack you linked to, great fun.

I really like Neptune's voice pack and was surprised they also included dialogue responses throughout the campaign, and also on the parts where you talk to the radio before the finale levels. Neptune saying "Konnichiwa!" and "Hai hai!" to the radio operator on the other end was 'fricken hilarious. :D

Heheh glad you're enjoying it ^^. L4D2 modded like this is probably my favorite game ever, it's just hysterical. Yeah I found the voice packs really impressive, they covered everything from dialogue, to context sensitive callouts, to the radial wheel shouts. Neptune's lines in general are just hilarious.

I have seen a mod that turns the hunter into Underling actually just recently, though I haven't tried it as I already have the best hunter mod ever lol. It isn't Neptunia related but I'll share it, since it's anime related at least, along with the Underling mod after I wake up~

Alright so check these out (I'll also stick them in the initial post).

Underling Hunter:

Underling Hunter (Neptunia) (Left 4 Dead 2)

Did someone say Doogoo zombies?

Dogoo CI (Hyperdimension Neptunia) (Left 4 Dead 2) (Do note that I'm pretty sure this is incompatible with any other mod that affects enemies, and will not work properly for online play.)

Now these are NOT Neptunia related, but they ARE super awesome and some of my favorite mods so I'll share them anyway:

I love Northern Ocean Hime, aka Hoppou, from Kantai collection, so this mod makes getting jpounced on much more bearable, although it also makes it difficult to awant to fight back... Anyways, really well designed model and the voice is pretty nicely done.

Steam Workshop :: Hoppou the Hunter (Kancolle)

Steam Workshop :: Hoppou the Hunter Sounds (WIP)

This Witch mod is equal parts awesome, and terrifying. It replaces the witch with the ghostly Shadow Miku, complete with custom sounds that replace the crying with a ghostly whisper.

Steam Workshop :: Tda Shadow Miku (WITCH)

So I actually got around to editing the character skins so they won't conflict with each other, and set up a separate mod to use to change all the survivor's names to their respective Neptunia counterparts, so now you can freely mix and match skins without any compatability issues. If you want the modified skin mods, let me know, as I won't be putting them up on any of the mod sites or the Steam Workshop.

I just wanted to say thanks for both the featuring and the comments for my Japanese voice packs for the CPUs and CPU Candidates! I had no idea that the packs were being shared from this particular post and its nice to see that you are enjoying Neptune's pack in particular - it took me countless hours to choose what voice clip to use for a particular context as I wanted to make sure that all the lines are as "correct" as possible (I didn't want to just slap some random lines together, I wanted it to make sense) plus I wanted to convey every character's personality and traits through their lines (a good example being Nepgear, who never swears unlike Zoey).

I'm in the middle of updating everyone's packs as I'm currently getting the voice clips from Re;Birth 3. Both Neptunia U and Noire's game are on their way to Steam so there's more lines to get from them. I'm expecting to update the packs again once I get Neptunia VII as well... Hopefully I can fill in some of the gaps/replace placeholders in my packs with these new lines.

I might as well also mention that I'm still considering doing English voice packs, as well as packs for IF and Peashy (both JP and EN), but I'm waiting to get more lines for that first - stay tuned...

Yeah you could say I'm quite of your work , I've seen voice packs before but yours are much better than anything else I've come across. It's easy to tell you put a lot of work into making them with how well done they are; the lines are all very fitting and nothing feels out of place or random. I'll be very much looking forward to any updates you do in the future. Thanks for making these and for putting so much effort into them, they make L4D2 so much more enjoyable~
