Bakaath
[FLOAT_RIGHT] [/FLOAT_RIGHT] Kudo Shinichi is a seventeen year-old high school detective whom people call the "Modern Sherlock Holmes." However, one night after a date with his childhood sweetheart, Ran, Shinichi witnessed an illegal trade and, caught off his guard, was knocked unconscious and fed a drug that was supposed to kill him... but he woke up and found himself shrunken to a seven year-old. In order to track down the men who did this to him, Shinichi hid his identity and lived with Ran, whose father happened to be a hopeless detective, and with that came a series of murders and mysteries that he must solve. To anyone who love mystery, I recommend you this. If you're new to this it may be hard to watch from the start but, please do try. Also the movies of this are outstanding! Watch them too if you can. Genre: Adventure, Comedy, Mystery, Police, Shounen. Last Episode Updated: 797 Edited November 7, 2015 by Guest
brycec
I actually follow this series, and write up reviews on a quarterly basis, since that is Viz Media's release schedule. The mysteries are sometimes good, but Gosho Aoyama fails to impress me quite a bit.
The Bunk
Forgot where I stopped in the anime but I'm reading the manga. The mysteries intrigue me and the characters are pretty likable. I do feel like it has to wrap up though (and probably should've wrapped up sooner.)

I think that is will end soon though, since Kudo and the gang are trying to uncover the identity of the second in command.
Mangastorian
I remember watching this anime when I was younger, it's crazy to think that it's still going

Well usually after it finishes a main story arc, it'll go back to being episodic for a bit. It also has some subplots to resolve.

That is kind of true, and I do notice that trend, but it does not really change my guess that much of it reaching its end soon. I doubt it will be the much hype chapter 1000, but Gosho skipped pretty much every rank, including third sting, to get to second-in-command. All I can say is that I hope the ride will be more enjoyable than what volume 62 was like.
The Bunk
Ah yeah that's true about the ranks being skipped. I can see it reaching a conclusion soon. Regardless how it ends, it's still been an interesting journey to explore

Then again, I was not too sure where you were exactly in the series, since not all countries are up to date with the series, and I am pretty much caught up with Japan, as a fellow Detective Conan noted after reading one of my reviews.
