Some Visual Novel help

Hey fellow anime fans I thought you guys might understand this I just got into this visual novel thing and I hate harems so I bought Idol Magical Girl Chiru Chiru Michiru.

Then noticed there is a Visual Novel called Grisaia No Kajitsu... the characters are the same even Michiru is in it and it's a harem but Michiru's life plot doesn't match with the game I am playing and the harem!? They're the same but two different people and I am beyond confused qq

Anyone can explain this? I don't wanna play a harem qq

Being a spin off game Idol Magical Girl Chiru Chiru Michiru only shares the characters of Grisaia No Kajitsu. Besides that everything else is completely unrelated between the two, so in all likelihood, you will not be playing a harem game if you're playing Idol Magical Girl Chiru Chiru Michiru. Other good non harem VNs are Planetarian, Narcissu, and Fault Milestone One.

Thanks I didn't get it since I am new to the whole visual novel concept not sure if they worked like normal games lol.

The other issue I have is I don't like romance either I wish there was a K-ON VN ><

Fault Milestone One would be right up your alley then. No romance at all. VNs typically focus on romance though, so you probably won't find too many without it.
