Signs, Portents, and Omens

So what signs do you see or look for when something interesting happens or might happen? Do you read the astrology section? Look for a specific event to tell you?

 

I for one have noticed eight pointed circles appearing in all the good TV shows and movies I watch, anime in particular. But pretty much every show I come across that turns out worth watching had an octagon appear somewhere in it.   What do you look for if the universe is giving you a heads up?
