Dr. Egghead Posted April 2 Share Posted April 2 Hi guys, I'd like to know how to get into the commercial shipping industry, cargo ships to be precise. I live in Europe so I'm interested how to do it here, which country doesn't matter, just want to know all the steps I need to do to get a job there. I'd also like to know if they take foreigners, since even though I live in Europe I live outside the Schengen/EU zone. Only personal experience, no internet information, I can Google myself. There's a community associated with that channel where someone might be able to give you an answer. Or you might want to contact Sal Mercogliano, the host of the channel, directly with the question. It occurs to me that your question sounds like the kind of thing he might have made the topic of one of his videos at some point. If you don't find anything then you might even want to suggest the topic to him for a future episode. It would be right in line with the subject matter of his channel after all. (Though I'm sure he currently has more than enough material covering all the shenanigans going on in the ME lately too.)
