Most heritage railways can't turn their locos so they have to run backwards for the return journey. The WSR is unique in that it can turn locos at both ends of the line, but they only do this at galas and on non-gala days they don't turn the locos.
I like the pictures you take you get really some very great shots of these.
I will say what already been said but I never thought about how a train was turned around either This was interesting to learn and I learned something new from this.
yEAH I wouldn't think for a second they'd be sitting in some rando guy named Bob's 2 car garage LMAO
Yeah I thought so about trains that I see pushing freight or something because I've noticed the driving cabs have been at both ends so I didn't think it mattered which way it was going or that it needed turned lol the Locomotives though yeah like my sister said I never thought about that either there's only one front end of those lol
Such good pictures you got some awesome shots~ Looks like you found some good places to take pictures from
WHY WOULD THEY STORE IT IN THEIR YARD LMFAOFAMO
I honestly never thought about how trains turn around either now that it's been mentioned though.. so I'm guessing normal trains don't have to turn around and just these older ones? I actually don't know much about trains either o_o
