So I like to take the time to talk about reading manga/comics.  This entry isn't so much about something specific I am currently reading but more about reading apps on my phone. I'll be quite honest I have a few (10 to be exact). That might be excessive or for some not enough. I started with one from an ad on  facebook or instagram not sure and it spiraled out.  I will divulge i mostly read romance and bl on the sites.  I have the following: webcomics, mangatoon, tapas, patreon, torycomics, tappytoon, manga renta, webtoon, coolmic(XXX), webnovel(not a good one but i can't find the comic im currently reading anywhere else).
Webcomics, mangatoon have a point system along with buying coins to read. Some comics need money to read I'll be honest but the free coins do help
Patreon is really good if you want to help artist in my opinion by directly funding and in doing so you do get perks. Also to can also read uncensored versions.
My 3 favorites though thus far are tapas, tappytoon, and webtoon all are which are paying types.  Though I have to say its worth it especially tappytoon. The stories and graphics are on point. There really isn't bad translations that you get from other sites. They don't have a big collection but what they do have is great well in my opinion.
One of my favorites on Tappytoon is Light and Shadow was such a good story so much I would really love a hard copy. The Knight and Her Emperor is also quite excellent.
That's all I have to say for now. As I am intrupted by a nasty thunderstorm so I'm going to get going if you have any questions about today's blog please feel free to ask.
The pics attached are screen shots of app icons on my phone, the 2 in the middle are tappytoon, and the last one is webtoon

    Hey Everyone,
Happy New Year hope this new year brings everyone happiness.
Okay so I wanted to talk about an anime called Megalo Box it's the 50th anniversary of a manga and anime called Ashita no Joe.  Its a sports anime involving boxing with a twist they use gear to enhance one's ability. I wasn't sure if I would like this sports anime but it was actually really good one of my favorite sports anime's.  The world in which they live in only the rich can have citizenship the rest fight to survive. The main protagonist in the story is poor and doesn't have a name but box's underground with his trainer were the throw matches to pay off a debt. Soon though a top notch fighter shows up to challenge and from there the story really takes off.  I feel like if I tell anymore it will spoil. The anime really shows the struggle of wanting to show your worth and fighting for something bigger than one's self. It is a definitely must watch with only 12 or 13 episodes.

So I was getting really bored sitting around waiting for new episodes of the current shows I am watching and now most are on delay it seems. UGH. So I decided to go back and watch something I hadn't finished watching and since it had been a little while since I  last watched it I started it from the beginning.  I think the whole reason I had stopped watching in the first place was because when I first came out there was some kind of break in the show and as I was waiting most likely started watching other things and then at some point totally forgot about it.  Now that is not saying it isn't a good show because as it turns out I quite liked this anime. However I will say after finishing it this time there are so many holes in this thing. I ended up not being about to sleep last night cause it got me thinking about all kinds of things and what I wanted to write in this blog. So dumb!!
    ATTENTION MAY BE SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gate: Thus the Japanese Self-Defense Force Fought There
A 24 episode first season though if you look it up it might refer to the later half of the series as season 2 because like I mentioned before there was a short break before it started back up. I recently read though that another season was in the works which makes me feel better because hopefully some of the holes that I found might be metaphorically filled.
Like the title refers you guessed it a Gate appears more like mysterious tunnel in the middle you guessed it again Japan. Those that came through the gate were super dumb and started killing people.  The hero of the show Itami well he is my type of guy lol. He is a giant Otaku (yay!!!) but apparently is part of JSF and later you'll find a damn good solider though he also makes the excuse his job is just to fund his main passion of being an Otaku. You learn a lot of amazing things about him that his fellow soldiers find crazy and unbelievable cause he is super lazy really.  Which is just hilarious and it's kind of like me I feel.
After saving many lives during the invasion he gets prompted and soon finds himself on a team that would head through the gate to take the fight to them and secure the gate so something like this doesn't happen again.  The people and empire on the other side never had a chance with our advance weaponry. They are stuck in a more Roman era with bows, swords, and shields.  After establashing themselves and pretty much slaughtering everyone this is where the fun and story really begins.
Magic girls, animal girls, one or two demi gods, and some elves what more could you ask for. Oh how about a few rounds with a fire breathing dragon. Poor Itami ends of with a little bit of a harem.  As they try to reach some peace talks with the kingdom in this other realm other forrces move from both sides. Apprently other nations other than Japan want to get there hands on the girls when them come back for a visit/military/public inquiry of sorts. That was a fun episode.  Then there is King he is a big jerk, the Princess is really the one who lends her hands to peace talks. There are 2 Princes' one who is a totally idiot and sadistic freak which you get to see in an episode. nice silhouette action (XXX). The other prince is more thoughtful though we really don't get to see to much of him. So maybe next season we will see more from him.  Idiot Prince some how comes into power and a little struggle happens but ultimately JSF gets the upperhand.
So at the end of the season kind of wraps up nicely with a few couples forming (lol) but there are too many holes in the story that really make me want another season to resolve the issues.
Also I will say the story travels quick but nicely, all the characters that come into play are nice but there were a few I wanted to know about them I guess cause they were so lovable. Mainly Itami's group. He ends up with a small unit under him and they pretty cool.
Okay second Prince barely sees any screen time and then disappears and leaves his sister to fend for herself, not that she is week she sorta made herself into a knight and started her own group under a rose banner. So she can fight but she is a bit naive really.
Here are some of my issues with the show. Now I am not military expert but they base the military a little too much like the American military in my opinion seems just odd.  Playing TAPS and stuff and the way they operated seemed to similar. I only say this because I served myself. I don't think JSF would operate in the same manner. But like I said it is just my opinion.
*EDIT* I forgot about the issue of the actual Gate. Okay so in a later episode they go to a Mage city were Lelei who is a magical user is trying to become a master that's really side note. Anyway when they go the talk with the Grand Master and apparently Rory had given her homework. Basically to find out about the gate. The grand master begins to tell why there are some many different races there and well the turns out the gate has been opening and closing for a long time and each time it opened a new race would come through. Which one makes sense as to why the Empire showed up in the first place because they already knew it was going to open and and some point  before the gate actual appears the boundaries had already blurred and they kidnapped a few Japanese citizens.  So I bring this because they talk about and then it's almost like no one cares that the gate might close. Struck me quite odd that there was no emergency of telling superiors about this. Like I don't know how long the gate is suppose to stay open for. It's really not discussed at all.  So I find that bit of info alarming cause I'm like you guys might get stuck there I don't know. Anyways this was the other thing that really bothered me about this show.
With all that I still really enjoyed the show.

The first 2 episodes are out on crunchyroll. It was much anticipated new adaption of the comic. I was a little worried with anything that gets too much hype and I did not want to be disappointed. However I was surprised at how good it was. First I wanted  for the first time to look at reviews just too see sometimes when I see reviews are reaction clips they are a little overboard in my opinion but it was pretty decently accurate.  Okay Let's get down to it.
First episode starts off with the beginning of how and little of why they each entered the tower which was a little vague but later on when  Bam (main character) flashes back to his past you get the sense of the story and what Rachel (vague second main character) means to him. The op was freaking excellent montage sequence and fantastic song by Stray Kids (kpop group) also the ending song is by them.  It gives off a good raw emotional feel to it. The sound effects/soundtrack during the show is really good also. Like they have this music playing while Bam is running in this cave and it had like kinda creepy music playing in the background that gave it this really chilling effect like you were there too. It was cool.
I felt the art style of the show is a bit choppy but honestly I think it compliments the feel of the anime in way.  There are already so many interesting and intriguing characters.  Oddly enough one of the side characters become my favorite Evan. He is freaking hilarious. He has kind of a dumb demeanor but he is smart and provides various comic relief. Though this anime is a bit action, adventure, drama feel and has some really funny comedic parts that keep it from kinda of tipping over the too serious point. So I think there is quite a balance that I feel is rarely seen in anime.  Also the character Lero Ro in ep 2 is voiced by Kenjroo Tsuda I love that mans voice.
This fantasia of sorts would be a good way to describe the journey so far. This is definitely a must watch anime.!!!
Down the rabbit hole we go!

Okay Everyone so I already updated my status a little while ago so I would like to continue on that note by making a few blog entries. Since yet again it has been some time since my last post. I don't know if I have mentioned to you all before but I quite the procrastinator while I am at home. So my room is a hot mess and it takes me forever to do stuff also as a Gemini I tend to get sidetracked a lot so I never really finish anything I actually start. Ugh sometimes I just wish I could get together while I'm home.  Also I said only at home that's because when I am at work I'm totally different person. Diligent, hard working, problem solver, communicative, real people person. I wasn't or is not popular but when I think of a character I probably most resemble Umaru from Himouto! Umaru-chan. Anyway I digress back to the main program. lol.
There was a few things I wanted to talk about one is this will be the only mention of things in the world right now as I am sure others are already talking about things and frankly I am sick of all this craziness and wish to not talk about it. I do however care very much about the people's well being and mental health so like I have said before if you need a friend to talk to I'm willing to listen that aside my blog shall bring happiness with reviews of anime's, manga, Japan, kpop, and jrock, among many other things. Ok moving on.
I love Haikyu it is one of my top 10 favorites I can watch this series over and over again. That being said I was a bit disappointed when the new season is WHAT already over. Just 13 episodes I don't know why but it felt awfully short to me. I mean it is pretty standard 12 to 13 episodes per season but looking back The first and second season were each 25 episodes soooo you know WTF.  But the wait  shouldn't be too long. Tentative date will be sometime this July with 14 more episodes.  So I CAN'T FREAKIN WAIT!!!!
Second season of Fruits Basket started and I am already highly irritated at Motoko that girl I just wanna punch in the face.  The first episode introduce a couple of new charcters who were highly strange to put it mildly. See what story those two bring. Other than that the episode was kinda plain honestly. But we are just getting back into the swing of things so I am sure there will be more adventures and drama awaiting.
    My looking Forward/New Season List
Some more SAO - Now I know a lot of people have mixed feelings about this series. I will say I quite like however it does not make my top 10 list. Since I'm older I quite like some old school stuff but I have invested a lot of time in watching all of the series thus far. It's got some good qualities I feel the new story arc is a little lacking compared to original and GGO season's. I felt it was a little slow in the beginning but now that some of the original cast is starting to come back into action it is starting to feel more like itself sort to speak.
Assendance of a Bookworm - I love Myne (sounds like Mine) she is the main character. Okay if you haven't watched this little gem I would. Classified as Isekai. Basically a reincarnation into another world. She is thrust into and frail poor girl, though she isn't alone her whole family is there don't get to sad on me. But this world is quite different and there is a lack of books which well from the title guessed her previous life she was a bookworm and thus part of her struggles begin. She super kawaii it's an adorable funny story.  Guess I just started second season it was a really short break in-between that last couple episodes so I don't really call it a second season in my opinion.
Food Wars 5th Plate - Soma is my jam. LOL. I absolutely love Food Wars I can't get enough of this sadly I believe this will be the last season. I have been thinking after this is over I might start reading the manga cause I love it so much.  Highly anticipating what and where the shows going.
Tower of God - Now I haven't watched the first episode of this but I'm hoping it will be decent. The story sounds good so we will see how the plot unfolds itself.
When I watched the preview up the upcoming season there were a few shows I was interested in but I didn't freaking write them down at the time thus I can't remember what they were. So we will see when they come out and I will update you all on the promising new shows.
Sorry forgot one.  The 8th son? Are you Kidding me? - An isekai also. First episode was quite entertaining and I feel will be very funny and interesting to watch. During the first episode the opening montage does't happen until the halfway point of the episode was quite weird but it was an awesome rock song.   SPOILERS!!!

The main character is a salary man and after getting off from work prepares a meal and right before eating falls asleep and wakes up in a very strange place and is also now a young boy. He thinks he is rich nobility but it's more like poor nobility and then finds out that he isn't a 3rd son but in fact the 8th.  Anyway some other funny stuff happens and it was pretty good.

Sorry it has been awhile work has gotten me so busy.
Anyways wanted to talk about something new I watched recently called Black Fox.
Who doesn't love a badass female woman. It starts off nice and sweet. As the main protagonist Rikka Isurugi is the gra
ndchild of the Isurugi clan of ninja warriors. Her father is scientist who wanted to go a different route from having to kill. She trains with her grandfather but like her father she rather help than hurt. However after growing up and returning to tell them some good news her world is shattered and well she decides to take up the role of avenger. She changes her name and begins her quest and well I leave the rest for you to watch. Can't give it all the way. If you are a sappy person like me make sure you have tissue handy there are a few cry moments in there. I give this a thumbs up I hope they make it into a series. Right now there is movie/ova.

P.S. I totally want to cosplay this.

So It's been ages seems like since I last posted sorry about that been a roller coaster of business and lulls but for someone reason despite all that I was watching I haven't logged in and write anything.
FYI: I try not to give spoilers but there might still be some.
Okay so I had watched the first 3 episodes and then I kinda just left it for awhile and I just finished it up finally. Well I really like this series but honestly the first and second season of this arc were a little crazy to keep track of as  far has the different for a lack of a better term Parties. There were so many different groups and characters galore I definitely still feel confused about it. At the same time the main plot line seems very clear, to me anyways. I totally feel like there should be a breakdown of everything somewhere online to accompany this season.  It had a nice tidy ending which for this series I think definitely needed that happy ending after all that suffering and craziness. It was definitely worth watching.

    Hi All,
I wanted to talk about a manga I am really into these days, it's called Horimiya. Which I just realized is the hybrid name of the two protagonist in this story. So cute. Anyways it has 12 books so far. Hori-san and Miyamura-kun  the two the story revolves around are in High School. Hori-san is a pretty popular and cute girl while in the beginning Miyamura-kun is a bit of an outcast that no one notices. Both of them have secret identities  once school lets out. There are circumstances that lead them to discover the others issues and soon a relationship blossoms. Soon other classmates come into the picture and relationships form and you learn about others along the way. The story is quite charming and cute. It's never boring as comedy ensues and the personalities of everyone open up. I definitely recommend this as a good read and invest in these two silly weird relationship.

Okay so sorry been away so long. My work keeps me super busy. I have this week off so trying to catch up on stuff I watch and watch new stuff. Okay so I started watching a Netflix original called Sword Gai pretty good has 2 season each 12 episodes long. Cursed weapons give you powers at a cost they can take you over and the weapon basically takes over your body.  Anyway it has some good action and it has it's sad moments. I haven't finished second season yet so I'm not sure how it's going to end.
New show called Double Decker super funny kind got the feel of like Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star, and Coyote Rag Time Show.  Its super funny but action packed.
Finished Free! Dive into the Future super upset that it totally ended at a good part and now have to wait 2 freaking yrs for next season.  It says see you in 2020. What kind of bullshit is that!!!!
Finally I started Darling in the Franxx what a show very interesting. I wanna see where it goes if Hiro survives that crazy girl.

    Koutetsujou no Kabaneri
I saw a clip awhile back and thought it had a pretty cool unique fighting action. Then I saw it at the store and well it was like 45 bucks so I thought I better watch it first before buying it. You know to see if it was worth spending that much money on it.  So after binge watching all 12 episodes it was awesome so I most likely will go back to buy it especially to see what extras are on the disks.
I'd have to say that there is feel of something between Attack on Titan and the movie World War Z.  Zombies (Kabane) in a Samurai Steampunk era. It had action and plenty of drama. The protagonist in this show were awesome and come from similar backgrounds sort to speak. The male lead is a cute nerdy badass. Every turn they make is filled with craziness. The first episode starts off with a bang and every episode after just continues with action and drama. The only thing I would say is after 12 episodes you don't know how the Kabane became that's never touched upon so I would if there was ever anything more I'd like to find out how they became into existence.
I'd definitely recommend that you watch this one!!!!! You won't be disappointed !!!

So I finished watching Dances with Dragons a few weeks ago and while watching it I often look at comments left by other people. I noticed that a lot of people didn't quite understand what was going on. If you haven't watched this one I would have to agree slightly.  The beginning seems a bit jumbled but after a little bit things become a bit clearly. I would have to say that the show is a bit political in nature in the aspect that there is government/ corporate backhand deals and you have to understand that to follow a bit of the plot of the show. The 2 main characters also have a bit of backstory that gets a little bit of time but towards the end of the show its self. It's a bummer cause you feel like just a little more light on this will round out the show a little more.  I think a lot happens in a little bit of time so I definitely felt it was rushed a bit in the 12 something episodes. You are left with the feeling there may be a second season but time will tell if that will actually happen. However, with all that said I do believe it's a show worth watching.

    Hey All
It's me again. So I recently saw the first episodes of some of the shows I've been waiting to watch this season so I wanted to talk about them. I felt they were pretty good and wanted to share.
Tenrou: Sirius the Jaeger  had a great action packed start. A group of vampire hunters one of them being of werewolf descendant. The show gave just enough story line to grab hold and a cliffhanger start. The small cast of characters seems interesting and can't wait to see where this one goes.
Grand Blue reading the synopsis on the site I watch this on I didn't know what quite to except. It just seemed like a slice of life, comedy, romance type.  I was thoroughly amused by the first episode. There is a warning of content when the show starts. There is nudity right off the bat (lol)  and adult situations that may occur. Including consuming large quantities of alcohol so let the shenanigans begin!! The seems to be a great comedy.
Kyoto Teramachi Sanjou no Homes  is a interesting one. It's kind of hard to say how this one will turn out. The show mainly revolves around a young man who works at a very interesting antique shop and a young high school girl who ends up working there for reason you learn at the end of the first episode. It definitely has a Sherlock Holmes type of vibe but at the same time not. There is also a cute vibe between the two of them. The ending of the first episode gave the feeling that they would be solving mysteries but I am not totally sure that's all there is to this show. I'm not one to give spoilers are least try not to but I will say that something else happens during the first episode that leads me to believe there will be other interesting things other than solving mysteries.
I look forward to feedback or comments as usual. Thank you

    Hello All
So this is totally my first blog so I'm sorry if it is not up to par. I thought about as my first entry that I would share my current watch list. However there are some not on my list that I watch intermittently. I like to think some of us do this. Where we start to watch something and then the new shiny thing starts so we take a break from what we are watching to watch the new thing. I tend to do this quite often So I have quite a few shows that are waiting for me to come back to anytime I feel like it. Mainly when I  am watching the current season and have to wait for the new episode to come out. With that here is my current watch list. (FYI) I feel it's very long so without further ado:
A Good Librarian like a Good Shepard
Free: Dive to the Future (Finally first episode out super excited about this one)
    Ace of the Diamond
The Disastrous life of Saiki K.
    Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi
    Senjuushi
    Back Street Girls: Gokudolls
    Sunoharasou no Kanrinin-san
    Phantom in the Twlight
Isekai Maou to Shoukan Shoujo no Dorei Majutsu
    Shichisei no Subaru
    Satsuriku no Tenshi
    Chio-chan no Tsuugakuro
    Kyoto Teramachi Sanjou no Holmes
    Tenrou: Sirius the Jaeger
Lord of Vermillion Guren no Ou
    Grand Blue
Yune Okoku to Nemureru 100 Nin no Ouji-sama
Yes I know this is a lot at one time. Some of these new shows have not started and I have a few shows that already have lots of episodes to keep my busy while I wait. Some of those I didn't put on this list that I periodically go back to watch. It really depends on my mood. There you go so many shows so little time.

  14. txGemgal3084
Hey everyone, sorry for such a long wait for the next blog post. Between mostly working a lot and this past week being sick I haven't posted anything so I better stay on top of it more. That being said it's review time. Also like always I'll try to not spoil the show but sorry if I do.
If you don't know this about me I watch anime or read manga every free chance I get and in doing so I watch a lot of shows at one time.  I'm always on the look out for something new or if a favorite gets another season I am all over it. I watch a few different internet sites like crunchyroll or on netflix.
Recently I binged watched an Netflix original called Levius (pronounced Lay-ve-us). It's also the main characters name.  This anime although may be classified as sporting since it revolves around a sport called metal boxing I would have to say it's a bit more of a drama type. The aesthetics of the world surrounding them is like 1940'ish with a steampunk vibe. They have mecha advancements and such. Metal boxing is boxing with arms that basically are replaced with mecha like structures. The world is a bit different as  when in you get a short history of the mechanism that drives metal boxing.  Something called Agatha water has a unique ability to interact with human blood producing steam. However the steam that's created can be manipulated by the user (blood donor) in other words.
The first episode starts off with him already in the ring fighting an opponent like a quick glimpse of things to come. By the end of the episode and the next one is really how it all starts. A young boy from a war torn town. You learn of his background and how he got to where he is now. It's a bit sad but you also find out why there was conflict in his town which you might have guessed from what is written above. Greenbridge the town Levius lived in had this unique water source and well they lived on it and it may have changed them internally being exposed to the water all the time. So naturally a conflict arose wanting the rights to this water. A company called Amethyst supposedly swept in to help and stop the conflict but the rumors say it had underlying evil intentions as in kidnapping orphaned children and do experiments on.
Levius finds himself has a young boy who was trying to rescue his mother but ends up losing an arm and being saved by his mother. As a young boy who already lost his father during the war and mother who is in a coma he is shipped to his Uncle who used to be a boxer back in his day. There is another main character sorta of in all this a young girl from the same town he couldn't save that later turns up in the ring. Levius stumbles onto the metal boxing and well the rest is history.
This story is so great. Fighting to find something you feel is missing. The opponents you fight bring something to your understanding. Levius is innocent but not naive, simple and straightforward. I real genius in the ring. He ends up helping the other fighters through the fighting. The supporting cast gets little backstories that make not end up hating them.  The accumlation comes to head as you learn AJ a fighter being manipulated by an evil guy who is the owner of Amethyst. The sad truth of a lot of things come to light and Levius tries to save AJ.  Everyone comes to back up Levius on this even though it becomes very dangerous.
I really would recommend this anime.  Even if you don't like sport or boxing the story and plot is very excellent. It really draws you in.
