Well thankfully the game scales so your level never really matters outside of boss fights and Level 5 Death one way or the other. It is all about how you Junction that determines how the experience goes.

The trials of Dark Cloud continues. I am almost done with the Moon Sea which would leave finishing the Sun Giant in the Moon Factory before I am done with the area. I feel like Xiao, Ruby, and Toan are all at a good strength level, while the others still need some work. Toan’s weapon inventory remains the biggest challenge that I have though.

Watched two more episodes of Boruto. This Land of Water, it will always be Waves to me, arc is refreshing in not only seeing Denki and Sarada as Chunin, but also in getting Kagura back. I originally thought this arc would be short but it continues to grow to where now, I think it will take up about half of the season, or 13 episodes. There was a good fight between Kagura, Kawaki, and Tenma and it was ended on plot so there will be room for more. It seems Boruto took the Naruto model but added Shippuden storytelling as the engine. So now you get missions with a very standard premise that open character layers, various story threads going back 200 episodes, and actual weight happening. Naruto did this but the timeframe was very condensed. Boruto has done that too but this is the third or fourth time now to get an arc this massive based around something so trivial. This is why I will always say if you look at Boruto for what it is and is trying to do, it is a great show. Much better than the original Naruto, but far from Shippuden. The episodes support this too as Boruto has more episodes than Naruto but less than Shippuden. I will be looking forward to hopefully watching more later today.

More work is being done in Dark Cloud though now I am at Yellow Drops so exploring the Moon Sea to rebuild the Moon Factory is the goal. I am still concerned with my weapon inventory for Toan, but I am going to try and push ahead as is for now.

Finally got back to watching Boruto yesterday. Denali’s character growth has been very great to see even though there have been entire seasons not featuring him. I am just now at the part of his first mission as captain. The connectivity of storylines is really good too as Sarada’s team has a mission going on that will naturally cross with Denki’s team. Having Kagura involved with the latest arc should make for some good fun too as it is two episodes in, and there have already been various deaths.

Finally got back to watching High School DXD. I am early in season two so it is interesting to see a more serious plot play out now. The Holy Swords are cool, Rias is finally fighting seriously, and I can see why Xenovia is so popular now. The pacing of showing off Sacred Gear abilities is all over the place, but I think part of that feels noticeable to me since I took a break for a few months. I just finished the episode revealing Durandal so I am excited to see what happens next as this has already been a multi-episode fight.

Still working through Dark Cloud, I managed to beat Muska Lacka but the weapon inventory limitations are frustrating. Toan has all his weapon slots full so I am trying to upgrade his weapons but I do not want to burn my supply of repair kits to do it. Plus, I don’t have a good supply of weapon attachments anyway. So I may have to just progress and hope he does not get another weapon for a while. I am still going to try and stick with the weapon upgrading for now but we will see what happens.

Haha, well you certainly will not have any issues inventory wise. I would say you not leveling would balance that out difficulty wise, but since Junctions determine how the bulk of battles go, you should have a smooth time with it. Oh, I know what you are talking about now with the Blue Magic. I was thinking of Final Fantasy IX’s Blue Magic system this whole time for some reason. Probably since both Blue Mages have a ‘q’ name. But true, that is a good way to get a head start with that. As long as you have Degenerator, random encounters should be fine. Good luck and keep us posted!

Fair enough, but between you almost completing the first two GFs and the items you are building up, you should be able to get through the next eight hours of progress as you are now if you optimize everything. New characters scale in level based on your party level so you don’t have to worry about someone missing out if you start your leveling early. I don’t remember Blue Magic being tied to Triple Triad though, what do you mean by that?

Makes sense, sounds like you are constructing a power file to breeze through the game! The Junction system definitely takes some getting used to as not only do you have to go out of your way to draw magic, but you then have to be careful about using it as well. I see why that system never advanced to other titles, but I always liked the idea of it.

Gotcha, it sounds like you are wanting to get a head start on your item inventory and Triple Triad playing. Sounds like fun!

Triple Triad is a fun card game for sure. What is your motivation for not leveling up now? Are you trying to farm for Junctions first, or just wanting to max out your GFs before continuing fights? Usually if you keep up on your Junctioning, the level scaling is not really a problem.

I would be interested in a Dragon Ball one.

Still working through Dark Cloud with Muska Lacka. I have finished rebuilding the town so only the boss remains but, since I found a new weapon for Toan, I have to take a detour to level up his weapons to consolidate at least one of them. That way if I find a new weapon for him, there is room. The resource management in this game is really the only reason it is not a 20 hour experience to beat. It makes me on the fence if I will get the sequel one day, but we will see.

I have still been working through Dark Cloud this weekend. I am close to completing Muska Lacka and will be able to do so tomorrow as long as I do not get stuck on the boss. I received new weapons for Toan and Ruby as well so we are going to be doing good damage in the next area as well.

Played some more Samurai Warriors 4 today. I developed Shingen and Koshosho a great deal and had good fun in the process in some battles!

I would say no, Dragon Ball takes place in an alternate Earth where there is no religion portrayed.

More Dark Cloud today. I have been seeing more weapon advancement and finally a healthy supply of weapon health items. A divide in character strength is happening that I need to watch, but Muska Lacka is in good shape to complete at this rate.

Another day with Dark Cloud and there was good progress. I finished a few dungeon floors in Muska Lacka, got the new spear character added to the team, and developed some weapons. At this rate, I will only need a couple of resource detours before finishing up this location. I also played Samurai Warriors 4 and got Lady Hayakawa a little stronger while having some fun with Kotaro. Kotaro is Nightmare Mode ready while Hayakawa would still struggle in Hard Mode.

I am still making my way through Dark Cloud in Muska Lacka. My biggest obstacle continues to be the inventory system so I had to do some fishing to free up some space by using my bait. I am building up a nice supply of weapon attachments though which is nice. My weapon health has been improving a lot too with a lot of enemies appearing that have repair kits to steal. So now I am in the spot where I could probably clear two or three more dungeon floors with what I have now, but the game mechanics will slow my progress. I got back to My GM Mode in WWE 2K23 as well. I am controlling two brands and the CPU is controlling two. As usual, the CPU is smoking me in fans but both my brands are ahead thanks to Hall of Fame trophies.
