I definitely would. Berserk is amazing. THE MANGA. Now THAT is the freaky one. There's one scene with a woman and a horse that... let's just say it goes south. Literally.

Ugh one of the many "freaky" scenes in the manga. Remember the fairy children?

But the story seems to become lighter. Like it's getting more optimistic.

And when will it continue? Is it still on hiatus?

Oh I know in particular with antique furniture and housewares. They are a type of technology or at least fall under what technology technically is meaning a tool to help us do what we cannot alone without it.

Though one peice of antique  tech in the more tridtional sense that I want to add to my collection is this.

What is that? And what does it do?

It reminds me a bit of Wall-E.

Hey guys! I am 29. I have a loving wife and two kids. I love anime. I grew up watching DBZ in the 90s and then started watching subbed anime in the early 2000s like Naruto and Bleach before that had hit America. Now, I am madly in with My Hero Academia.

    Hello and welcome Dougger16!!

I'm a fan of My Hero Academia too. I haven't watched season 3 yet. Is it any good? What do you think about it?

  4. I wish I could give you constructive criticism, but I'm not really qualified to do so. (I'm not smart enough to comprehend poetry haha xD

I do admire poets as it seems to be writing on a much higher level.

    Please continue sharing your works.

  5. Many would say Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood.

As the relationship between Edward and Alphonse is similar to Gon and Killua's.

And heck yeah I loved Hunter x Hunter too. The Chimera Ant arc is one of the best arcs in anime.

  6. Hello! Nice to meet you.

I'm glad you came back. I think you'll always be welcome here.

One good way to overcome being shy is to actually engage in online communities like forums.

If you can talk to people online, you can definitely talk to people offline. At least that's what I've noticed.

@ArchieKun Yes I'm old school I guess you can say, heh. I journal a lot so I'm always writing in notebooks.

Oh wow. That's really amazing. Writing with a pen is almost like a lost art now.

If I write with a pen for 3 minutes my hand starts to hurt. I've been so used to typing now instead of writing.

My penmanship also degraded. My handwriting isn't legible anymore. haha

Ahhh yes... A guy once mentioned Pupa on a random conversation, I thought he was just pranking us when he said it would make us nauseous.

Howver I thought the plot was really confusing to be honest, it kind of seemed like it was graphic and violent just to compensate for the lack of substance that the writer put into it.

Just my opinion though... There's people that might genuinely enjoy and like it.

Yeah they said the manga was MUCH better. But just the premise in itself is just so bizarre.....

No problem. I am most happy to help. :) I personally have never actually used Manga Studio hands on.

Have you tried Paint Tool Sai? I've seen a lot of artists use it and I was wondering what it can do that others can't.

This game looks really really good, and in my opinion is something we really need. Sadly I do not have a PS4 either. Though it is in my plans to get one even though it is in its twilight phase. Its still a great one to collect.

I'm actually thinking of buying a PS3.... haha I see a lot of people selling it pre-owned on Facebook. And I was thinking, hey it's really cheap now.

But I'm usually on my PC anyways. Don't have the time to play console games in front of the TV

  11. It would have to be Pupa for me.

And no I didn't watch it. I don't think anyone should. It's a terrible show and very creepy.

I heard about it through a podcast, went to You Tube to check out the infamous scene, and got shivers up my spine.

    SPOILERS BELOW:

Basically, Pupa has a brother and sister. The sister has some sort of disease in which she needs to eat human flesh. The brother regenerates when he dies.

So he loves his sister very much and doesn't want her to eat other humans. So he offers himself as a meal whenever she gets hungry.

You can watch a clip of it here:

  12. Have any of you heard about Tabata exercise? It was invented by a Japanese individual. And it's ideal for people with no time to go to the gym.

It's a type of HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training). You basically just exercise 4 minutes but everyday. You go hard for 1 minute then 1 minute of light exercise. Then 1 minute of  hard exercise then finish with 1 minute of light exercise. That is equal to a 90 minute cardio workout.

I've been doing it for 2 months now and I've actually exercised way more than I used to.

The problem with 30 minute 3 times a week routines is that you tend to get lazy or too tired to keep doing it.

But 4 minutes a day is like nothing. You won't feel lazy thinking about it and it will be over before you know it.

If you do end up going that route I suggest Manga Studio for if it becomes a manga, or Adobe Animate if it is turned into a animation.

Great suggestions. They will definitely help. I will check them out.

to be honest, im scared of using my real name too, i had a wierd trauma of sorts, (not trauma, but ima use that term) where if people knew what my real name was, they would know everything about me, this included posting my pics online, i felt more secure being an "anon"

though, now a day, i dont really care if everyone knows my real name, or if everyone knows what i look like, i already posted my picture in this forums while on duty, and i didn't care at all xD

i guess, its somewhat same for saito-kyun, (and also, to be fair, i also use an alias online, i go by the name "ryu" online, or X-kun, usually ryu on my besto friendo tho')

I understand. I did the same when I was younger. Using aliases and a picture of a character from somewhere.

I guess it's for online safety too. To protect against identity theft and so on.

But now that I'm older, I'm now boring. So no more creativity to come up with clever names. haha

  15. The story structure we came up with in the previous topic is good enough that we can start drawing. However, you might want to expand it more so your story will have polish. Here’s a look at our current story:

    Quote

    Beginning
Takeji is a nerdy highschool boy. He’s quite tall and gets bullied for it constantly. This makes him want to quit school.

    Middle
One day he meets a transfer student named Hayato who is also tall. Hayato shows him an NBA game. This motivates Takeji to learn the sport of basketball. With Hayato’s help he gets ready to try out for his school’s basketball club.

    End
Takeji makes the cut and is accepted into the club. However, he also realizes how far he is from making it into the NBA. He has a lot to improve on first. This was only the first step of his long journey.

    - Taken from previous topic

As previously mentioned, a basic story structure is composed of a beginning, middle, and end. An advanced story structure meanwhile has a

Beginning Beginning (that’s not a typo)
    Middle Beginning
    End Beginning

    Beginning Middle
    Middle Middle
    End Middle

    Beginning End
    Middle End
    End End

Confusing isn’t it? It will start to make sense once you realize what’s going on. We are just taking our 3 main parts (beginning, middle, end) and adding another 3 parts to each one. Beginning gets its own (beginning, middle, end) Middle also gets a (beginning, middle, end) and the same thing happens with End. Let’s see it in action.

    Beginning Beginning
Takeji is a nerdy highschool boy. He’s quite tall and gets bullied for it constantly. This makes him want to quit school.

    Middle Beginning
The bullies who usually give Takeji trouble are 4 boys from the school swimming club. Their leader is a boy named Kaiba. One day during gym class, Kaiba steals Takeji’s shoes without him noticing. He then hides it somewhere leaving Takeji no choice but to walk home on barefoot.

    End Beginning
Because of this latest act of bullying, Tajeki no longer wants to go to school. He cries and begs his parents to let him drop out. He would start looking for work instead. His parents eventually give in and agree that in a week he would be stopping school.

    Beginning Middle
On his last day, Takeji bumps into a transfer student named Hayato who is also tall. Hayato asks if he plays basketball. Takeji says he has never even heard of the sport.
Shocked, Hayato shows him an NBA game.

    Middle Middle
Lying in bed that night Takeji couldn’t sleep. He was thinking about the basketball game Hayato showed him. For reasons he didn’t know, he wanted to play basketball. The next day he shocks his parents telling them he wants to continue school. He then finds Hayato who agrees to teach him the game of basketball.

    End Middle
While training, Takeji surprises Hayato by telling him he wants to try out for the school basketball team. When Hayato asks why? Takeji says he wants to make it to the NBA and play against the best players in the world.

    Beginning End
Takeji and Hayato sign up for the upcoming tryout. There they meet 2 players from the school basketball team named Shinzo and Chinatsu. Shinzo is surprised as to why the nerdy Takeji wants to try out for the team. He then warns him that he would soon regret his decision.

    Middle End
The tryout begins. Takeji and Hayato pass the first 3 cuts and are on the final one. The final cut pits aspiring members against the school’s basketball players. It’s an intense game as Shinzo matches up with Takeji.

    End End
Takeji and Hayato make the final cut and are now official members of the team. Takeji also earns Shinzo’s respect. But deep inside Takeji knows he barely made the team and realizes he has a long way to go.

It certainly sounds interesting. I'd cheek it out if you end up posting it up on the forums. I don't think that sort of sttory is something I'd look for on my own though. Best of luck with writing if you do go for it.

Thank you. I definitely will be updating here on the forums. As I plan to turn it into a manga or an animated series. (like 2-3 minute episodes)

Ah yes, I want to play this game, unfortunately, I don't have a ps so I'll be on PC...

Same here. No PS4. At least it has a PC version.

  18. For awhile there I thought you were my boss. :D haha

I work from home. I telecommute. My employer is from the US and his name is Jeremy. He's also in his 40's.

But welcome! Everyone here is nice and respectful. Hope you make a lot of friends.

What's wrong with using your real name?? haha

But welcome! I loved Bleach by the way. I think there was a previous topic on confusion with the Bleach ending. You might want to check that out.

    And see you around

  20. So I've had this idea in my head for weeks now. And it won't go away. That's usually a sign for me to proceed with it.

But I would like to hear what other people think.

I want to make a story about a guy who decides to quit his job, quit being an employee, and start a company. Become an entrepreneur.

It's similar to Bakuman and Shirobako. But the focus is on launching a tech start-up.

You could say an anime version of the TV show Silicon Valley:

    vbzt8pX.png

But unlike Silicon Valley I want to give it progression.  The guy will either achieve his dreams or not. (For those who don't watch that TV show, every season the main character doesn't seem to be getting anywhere. )

It would be slice of life, a touch of comedy, and will have romance in it.

So what do you think? How does it sound to you?

And will you watch it even though you're not interested in entrepreneurship or tech startups?

  21. I think it's shocking once it starts. The physical changes.

Lately I've been getting more white hairs. At least no balding yet. (I hope haha).  No decline yet in strength or speed and so on. But I've never felt strong or fast anyways so I can't tell.

You go through like a stage of denial first. You dye your hair black for example, you use anti age creams (maybe for women only).

Basically you try to convince yourself that you're still young. Then it sets in and you just adapt to it. You work with what you've got.

And on the bright side, you trade in youth for wisdom. You were young and dumb now you're old and wise.

I guess just age gracefully by adapting.
