    hmmm I would have said kenichi but it is not that romantic. you can try old anime like best teacher onizuka. If you want something like SAO then try Tower of Druaga as it has romance/action and some funny parts. Akatsuki no yuna may also b a candidate for you.

    well I dislike the fact that most anime series make God as an evil being. I respect that most japanese don`t believe in God, but they don`t need to push it into the minds of kids. Other than that maybe the excessive blood in some anime series that may be disturbing for kids.
