  1. Hello friends! I'm making a thread here to see if anyone would be interested in reading the visual novel I've been working on. At this point I'm nearly finished with Arc 2 and in desperate need of avid readers and creative minds! Welcome to the proper thread for Aquae ~Crystal Clear Waters~ a fantasy/adventure visual novel. Completely free to play as was the original though now with a much more vivid and expanded world to explore. Still mostly kinetic though now with the ability to change certain course of events through the player's actions and choices. While romance isn't a main focus, it is now an option. The original story was broken up into three separate arcs. Presently, Arc 1 is sitting at 18.5k words and 1.5-2hr read time. https://zweit.itch.io/aquae-crystal-clear-waters <-- Download for Windows, Linux, and Android The entire script itself is clocking in at 56,761 words and counting. itch.io The winds of fate rush in with the summer breeze.Travelers the land over come to take part in the annual festival and celebrate the lasting time of peace after previous years of war and strife. As paper lanterns begin decorating the coastlines above, there surges a troubling shift of tides through the underwater haven of the nerida below. Join Kaizarel - the wayward prince of the isles - as he embarks on an exciting night at the summer festival. Where he meets friends both new and old, including a mysterious stranger with rare purple eyes just like his own. In his attempts to discover the connection he and this strange visitor have in common, Kaizarel instead finds himself embroiled in both the politics of land and sea, as well as unearthing family secrets long buried beneath the sands. Will history be re-written, as waves upon the sand? Or will bloodshed remain?
  2. Hello! I know it’s been a long time since I’ve posted, but I wanted to share the stuff I’ve been doing in my absence. After some grief and anxiety, I spent a lot of this past semester working on an original universe. It’s become a labor of love and the characters are all my precious babies, lol. I’m going to share some short stories involving OCs from a larger plot (one I’m not quite confident enough to publicize yet) and I’ll try to list them in as chronological an order as possible. I’m going into this fully expecting not many people to read them, but even if you could take a glance over one or two, I’d appreciate it! Also, I don't know why everything I wrote is bolded here, this happened last time and I couldn't fix it ;o; Winter Tales at the Tavern - Stern elven Colonel Vaeril Alvensheim falls victim to his poor ability to handle alcohol. This results in humorous and warm moments shared under the winter moon. In the company of his friend, a whimsical shopkeeper called Lianthorn, Vaeril laments the peculiar circumstances of his home life and potential romantic interest, Nimiel. Ceramic Hearts - After accidentally breaking a beloved trinket of Nimiel’s, Vaeril–ever the tsundere–brings her to Lianthorn’s shop to find a replacement while grumbling all the while about this and that without much direction. Short, sweet and sappy. Haemir- A dive into our beloved Colonel’s backstory paired with that same cozy tavern as before. A bit heavier in terms of angst, but has a happy ending. TW for death. A Toast to Tomorrow- This one dives into Lianthorn’s backstory, which is equally as tragic and I think quite Frieren-esque (though I myself have never seen that anime and just know it from instagram posts, lol). Opens up the overall narrative’s shift towards Lianthorn and his journey to finding love. Another TW will be issued for mentioned death. A Fated Meeting - Dahlia pt. 1- I have two favorites, and this is part 1. Dahlia, a human woman lost in grief and seeking some kind of spell to resurrect her late father, ventures into elven territory to find a certain cursed staff. She’s willing to sacrifice anything for a chance to see him again–even her own safety. Lianthorn arrives in the nick of time to save her, and what follows is something I can only describe as soul-cleansing (at least to me as a writer, heheh). It was SO comforting and healing to write this one, I just love the amount of sappiness and fluff and I can’t get enough of these two! Winter Woes and Wonders - Dahlia pt. 2- Part 2 of the super-duper-fluffy-wuffy wholesome fest that is Lianthorn and Dahlia’s budding relationship. If you choose to read any of these, I’d like it to be these two. Adult themes are briefly glanced over, but the scene is written as a fade to black, so there’s no inappropriate content. I am currently working on part three. Also, a little FYI– I’ve been using stable diffusion to illustrate these stories. Please, try not to crucify me for the AI thing; I know it can be shady if used wrong, but I’m only using it for this purpose, not to sell or pass off as my own drawings. I don’t need a lecture. This has helped my mental health immensely and I’m not interested in being attacked for it. I’m also not looking for advice or constructive criticism. Sorry to be that person, but I’m happy with my stuff the way it is, y’know? Unwanted criticism just hurts, lol. Anyway! That’s about it. I’ll try to be more active here if I can. Since finals season is over, I have more time. I’ve been kinda down so having some more friends to share stuff with would be really nice! I know I probably sound like an oversensitive crybaby, but I promise I'm not mean. Please feel free to add my discord if you want to talk! I’d be delighted to hear from you.
  3. Hello om Jacob johnson and I'm new to the anime community. I have a project I'm working on thats half comic book half manga and involved many innovative characters. I'm looking to raise fans a million to be exact in less than a year thats before 2025. I have a tiktok page with my comic on there you should check it out https://www.tiktok.com/@michaelbarrett513?_t=8fiMyPL5WZS&_r=1
  4. I'm really excited and can't wait! So who's also going to be watching One Piece?
  5. The story seems so relatable with very few minor differentiators. A group of three friends- Gojo, Geto and Shoko. Gojo is looney just like Naruto. Geto turns heel like Sasuke. Shoko is literally the Doctor just like Sakura. They have a teacher who later becomes the principal just like Kakashi became the Hokage. You can even relate it with the 3 saanin. Just like Naruto had Nine tails inside him, similarly Yuji has Sukuna. It is a good anime but one cannot leave aside the similarities from an anime which majority people have been following since childhood.

  8. Here's a weird request, but does anyone want to walk along trails in Genshin Impact while listening to an audiobook / chatting? I have a discord server setup for this purpose. It's pretty relaxing.
  9. The character portrayed by Matt Frewer on British television whose consciousness was transferred into an AI program following his fatal accident is possibly the most anime non-anime character ever. 1 - iKKM308.mp4
  10. Ok, I have no artistic talent of my own, but I know there's a few others here without such a handicap. Now is your time. What is an amabie, you ask? Well, wikipedia says, "... the amabiko is a multi-legged prophesizing creature which prescribes the display of its artistic likeness to defend against sickness or death." Yokai.com - obviously(?) the leading authority on yokai - has this somewhat more useful description, If anyone has some drawing skills and would like to take a crack at illustrating the above description(s) - for fun and (possibly) the aid of humanity - then post your artwork below. I think a bunch of people might benefit from seeing it before this whole thing is over. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amabie http://yokai.com/amabie/ https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/amabie

  12. This long forgotten gem was never adapted into an anime but, it probably should have been. Myself and maybe one or two other people are probably the only ones here that even remember playing this now obscure 2-D fighter on the 16-Bit Megadrive. According to what I read, there were more sequels planned after "Challenge From the Dark Side" was released for the Mega-CD console, but Sega of Japan in their infinite wisdom decided to force an early end to the project in favor of its "Virtua Fighter" franchise - go and figure that out. Although I have never played the sequel, I have many fond memories of the first one. More than being simply an enjoyable electronic game, it was a work of art in many more ways than just one. The fact that the box art was done by legendary artists Boris Vallejo & Julie Bell certainly did not hurt. The premise of the story was very unconventional. Basically it goes, an omniscient alien being from the future with super cosmic powers known simply as "The Eternal Champion" grants a second chance at life to nine different fighters from different time periods who met an early death before they could change history for the better and save the world by averting the extinction level cataclysm that the Champion himself seeks to prevent. The Eternal Champion has the fighters compete against each other for the right to face him in combat and determine whether they are worthy of being allowed to return to their original time and be allowed to live out a full life to offset the negative changes which culminate in disaster. Unlike most fighting games of that era, nobody in the first title was actually evil; there were no equivalent counterparts to Shao Kahn or M. Bison storywise. The Eternal Champion himself is legitimately my least favorite final boss to fight against in any of the fighters that I have played. Not only must the player defeat the Eternal Champion in his several different forms during the same round but, the player's health points are only partially replenished between each part of the fight. If the player lost two rounds against the Eternal Champion, there would be no continues and it would be game over -- followed by the Eternal Champion lamenting in despair of how his expectations were not met while informing the player that the world is doomed and that it was their own failure to pass his test that caused it. I never became good enough where I could beat the Eternal Champion. The time travel theme is something that few other fighting game franchises used. "Time Killers" and ADK's "World Heroes" ( later acquired by SNK/Neo Geo ) were the only other two from the 16-Bit Era ( that I can name ) that used this motif. To a lesser extent, the development team from "Killer Instinct" experimented with the concept when the sequel "Killer Instinct 2" ( aka "Killer Instinct Gold" ) was released for the Nintendo 64 in the late '90s. ( EDIT: Eternal Champions was actually adapted into a comic in the issues of the official Sega publication, "Sonic the Comic", which was exclusive to the UK. The story loosely followed the lore of the game. Details here. ) I still remember my first time playing this, it would show some random character from the cast appear and smash the Sega logo before the title screen started - I always thought that was so cool. Aside from the story concept and art direction, I also really enjoyed the background music. It was some of the best ever used for a chiptune. I was delighted to learn that someone actually made remixes of them in just the past few months of my writing this. As good as some of these remixes are, I still don't feel that they necessarily replace the originals - they are an addition to them. I never much cared for Larcen's stage theme, so that might be one exception for me. Some of the songs which were great in their original chiptune form did not translate as well in the new style, so I will be omitting those. You can listen to the original chiptunes here. The artist, Hyde209, not only does covers of video game music, he is also an accomplished graphic artist as well. If you enjoy this, be sure and check him out. The first remix video is the theme from the database of the game's character bios. Hyde provides abridged versions of each of the characters' backstories. The second is of the game's main menu theme. This one is a remix of the Battle Room theme. Undoubtedly, I would have to say Jonathan Blade's stage theme was my favorite one in chiptune. This remix actually captures the spirit of the original the best out of all the iterations of it that Hyde has done, though it is still missing that whirring noise that drones in the background for most of the song on the Megadrive. Hyde did a much older metal version of this song that is also really good -- link here. He also did a couple of others that were more ambitious but, didn't strike my fancy as much - one of them a collab with a friend of his. Larcen's stage theme was my least favorite out of all the chiptunes...somehow Hyde turned this otherwise unremarkable ( and unoriginal ) song into something that's awesome. To be honest, every remix Hyde has done of Shadow's theme is great but, I think this one actually sounds the most like the original; thus, it is my favorite remixed version of it. The scantily clad blonde vixen from the cover art! Jetta Maxx is easily my waifu when it comes to anything EC. Her theme song was also one of my favorites from the original game. Out of all of Hyde's remixes of her theme, this one is my personal favorite and the only one I will feature here. Growing up, I was a Xavier main. Xavier Pendragon was my favorite character from the game and the one that I most empathized with -- he realized all too late that he had cast his pearls before swine when they burned him at the stake. Historically, I believe those accused of witchcraft were actually hanged instead of burned; the accused were still just as dead though. Each of Hyde's Eternal Champions Tribute albums has a cover of Xavier's stage theme. Although the version from his latest album "Resynthesized" sounds much more like the original, this older metal version is just so cool that I actually prefer it over the other ones. It's that kind of awesome... I have always loved shows and films where both the prehistoric and futuristic would come together. I honestly wasn't sure whether to feature Slash's stage theme remix. It's really more like music to set the mood than something made for musical enjoyment. In any case, this one is most faithful to the original and largely succeeds in capturing that feeling. The game's final boss had a pretty wicked tune even in its original 16-Bit form. I honestly think that I might like this one better than the original version. I really like the way this one turned out. The different remixes Hyde has done of Trident's theme are all so good that he is the only character whom all different theme song iterations thereof will be included here. All three have uniquely different sound qualities that set them apart as their own thing. Hyde's album "The Second Chance" included radio drama style voice acting bits relating to the deaths of each character. Out of the three, the remix from "Resynthesized" ( the first one down below ) sounds the most like the original version. I decided not to even bother with the themes of R.A.X. or Midknight because neither were as good as they should have been with modern hardware - especially Midknight's; it's a shame because Midknight's stage was one of my favorites in the game. The remix of the bad ending. And finally...the remix of the good ending.
  13. So, I didn't see a thread on here about the "That time I got reincarnated as a slime" anime and I was wondering, what do you all think about it? I'm liking it so far ≧◡≦
  14. My Anime is my favorite : Sword art online is such a great anime to watch in a free time. the plot overall has twists and its amazing! what do you guys think?
  15. Sailor Moon Video Games Sailor Moon is a massive franchise, pervading all types of media. This also includes video games! Unfortunately, it is estimated that 90% of these games never have seen official releases outside of Japan. However, fans being amazing as we are, many of these have been translated over the years! I have played a good chunk of these myself, but am still working my way through the vast library of these titles. There are also tons of fan-made games for the franchise, many completely worth playing! My current focus is the Super Moon Fighter series that was created by Sprite Team (a Japanese gaming company), for the X68000. There are several versions of Sailor Moon fighting games that this company has created, and through the power of the internet I have been able to experience NEARLY all of them. Sadly, the version of the game that sparked my interest, Super Moon Fighter DX, is the single version that appears to be missing from the internet. Any help in unearthing this version would be greatly appreciated. Below is the character select screen, and some additional sprites for reference. The specifics for this version include that Sailor Moon is now Eternal Sailor Moon, and has Luna as a side kick who can also attack. Also, Super S abilities were added in such as Venus Love and Beauty Shock, Mars Flame Sniper, Jupiter Oak Evolution, etc. It is also the only currently known version of the game to include Sailor Saturn, who is extremely powerful. Super Moon Fighter aside, I would love for this to just be a general Sailor Moon Video Game Discussion Thread. Speak about whatever you like regarding that subject here! I'll start. Of all the Sailor Moon video games out there, my favorite would have to be Sailor Moon Another Story. If you are unfamiliar, it's a turn-based battle style JRPG that was officially released on the Super Famicon (SNES) by a company called Angel in 1995. To date, it has never seen an official English translation. However, there have been two largely recognized translations done over the years. The original fan translation of the game was done by Bishoujo Senshi Translations released in 1999. This translation heavily relies on knowledge of the fan-subtitled Sailor Moon anime, and fansub anime in general. Additionally, the creators had to do some major re-programming to get it to work properly. The translation is not perfect, but is still very well done and does not impede on enjoyment of the game. Some technique descriptions are inaccurate / funny. Example: The link technique that combines Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter, and Sailor Uranus is called Fire Thunder Shaking. The description for this attack is "An old man?" Released 20 years after Bishoujo Senshi Translations' initial release, this is a complete English re-localization of the game. Featured are several fixes to issues and bugs in the original game. There is also a version of this that has some small changes to increase quality of life: that being, double EXP per battle and 1/2 enemy encounter rate as well as adding an attack enhancement item to a shop for Sailor Mercury's solo quest. (Because most people had no idea that her Shabon Spray attack is actually the most useful ability in the game). Both versions of the game are available online. Google search the game title, plus "Fantasy Anime" and you'll find it. Sailor Mercury - From Useless to OP Back when all we had was the original translation, and very limited resources, those of us who were able to play it had absolutely NO idea that Sailor Mercury's ability, Shabon Spray, didn't do direct damage. It is even listed in the fan guide as simply causing minor damage. It wasn't until playing this game as an adult, and becoming obsessed with the fact that her 2 CP cost attack did so much less than everyone else's, and also seemed to have a strange damage limit to it (the numbers never seeming to go higher than 20), for it to just be straight damage. I tested it out, figured out that the numbers popping up are showing exactly how much you are reducing the enemies attack by , and then promptly ran to the internet to find that someone else had discovered the same thing a few years prior. LOL! But still! That was an exciting moment for me, and to this day I do not think it is very well known. Because of this ability, and the fact that Sailor Mercury has one of the highest Defense Stats in the game, Sailor Mercury has successfully taken the spot as Most Useful Character in Sailor Moon Another Story. Feel free to disagree below.
  16. Chapter 1:The Multiverse Begins Planet 4032 (Earth) "It sure is a nice day to go training isn't it". Said Goku in excitement. "Hmph. I guess it is". Said Vegeta in a angry tone. "Alright let's go!" Said Goku. Soon as they were about to fly away, Vegeta's wife Bulma stop them. "You know instead of training in the city and causing destruction all the time how about you two try to go off the coast for once". Said Bulma. Goku is thinking of an excuse to not train out in the ocean. "What if we drown". As Goku said Nervously. "Nice try Goku but if you and Vegeta want to go training. THEN TRAIN OFF THE DAMN COAST!" Said Bulma in a stressful manner. "Okay, okay, okay. We'll go off the coast Bulma". Said Goku. "I better not catch you two training in the city." Said Bulma. Goku and Vegeta finally go do training. But at the beginning of the training, Vegeta keeps asking Goku. "Use your Ultra Instinct." Said Vegeta. "Vegeta we're training. Why would I need to use ultra instinct." Said a confused Goku. "Because I want to see how strong I am against you while your Ultra Instinct". Said a confident Vegeta. "But Vegeta I don't think I can". Said Goku. "LISTEN TO ME KAKAROT. YOU'RE GOING TO USE ULTRA INSTINCT, EVEN IF THAT MEANS I HAVE TO-". A massive rumbled happened as Goku and Vegeta were arguing. "WHAT THE HELL IS THAT." Said Goku. "THAT'S A GIANT HOLE KAKAROT. YOU DUMB ASS." Said Vegeta. Goku and Vegeta are confused and worried and trying to figure out what's going on. "Hey Vegeta let's go ask Bulma what the hell is happening". "Okay. Let's go Kakarot". Goku and Vegeta fly over to Capsule Corp to meet Bulma but the loud rumble stops them but they keep pushing. "Let's hope Bulma is okay. We need to get answers of what's going on." Said Goku. Goku and Vegeta arrive at Capsule Corp and ask Bulma what's going on. "It appears the multiverse is happening. This could be really bad." Said Bulma. "How?" Said Goku. "OTHER PEOPLE FROM DIFFERENT UNIVERSES CAN COME TO THIS UNIVERSE AND IT COULD CAUSE A BIG WAR DESTROYING THE PLANET". Goku and Vegeta stood there in shocked not knowing what to do or think. Planet 5748 (Earth) A Few Hours Earlier "NO, YOU BASTARD. YOU DESTROYED MY TIME MACHINE!" "HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Laughed Fu. "Your precious timeline will be just fine Trunks. I mean it's not like it will cause a disaster." Said Fu in a sarcastic tone. "YOU BASTARD YOU WILL DIIIIIIIIE!" Screamed Trunks. "I don't think I will haha". Said Fu as he vanished. "D-DAMNIIIIIIIIIIIIIT!" Trunks stood there not knowing what to do. "Fu. That bastard. I should've never trusted him!" As Trunks said in his head. In a upset way. Chapter 2:Rifts "Mom, what's going on?" Asked Kid Trunks. "Trunks listen to me. Go to your room and STAY THERE." "Okay mom!" "Goten I need you go to your mother. NOW!" Exclaimed Goku. "But dad..." "LISTEN TO ME GOTEN. GO TO YOUR MOTHER NOOOW." Shouted Goku. "O-Okay" Said a scared Goten. As Goten was flying to his home a rift opened up right in front of him. But Goten ignored it and still kept going to his house. To check on his mother. As keeps flying someone stops him. It's the Demon Slayer Tanjiro. "HEY KID. GET BACK HERE"! Shouted Tanjiro. Goten kept flying. Ignoring him. Tanjiro yells again. "GET BACK HERE KID"! Tanjiro jumps really high. Getting Goten and bringing him down to the ground. "WHAT'S GOING ON HERE. I SEE A STRANGE BLACK HOLE OPEN UP AND ALL OF THE SUDDEN I'M HERE!" "Please let me go! I just need to get to my mother!" Cried Goten. Tanjiro let's go of Goten and stood there in silence for a few seconds. "Sorry kid. Go get to your mother." Said Tanjiro calmly. As Goten was about to fly away he told Tanjiro directions to Capsule Corp and who to ask. "If you want to know what's going on. Go to Capsule Corp. Keep going straight and you'll be in a city. Look for a circle building. Okay." "Thanks. NOW GO!" As Tanjiro is heading towards the city he sees multiples rifts. He acknowledges them for a few seconds but he keeps heading for Capsule Corp. "I think I see a city." Said Tanjiro in his head. As Tanjiro arrives in the city. He sees a lot of chaos and destruction. But he also sees a dome protecting a building. "Is that shield protecting a building." Tanjiro jumps to Capsule Corp but he bumps into the shield really hard. He slowly falls off the shield to the ground. As he's getting up, Goku instant transmissions to Tanjiro. Goku tells Tanjiro. "Grab my hand. That we can get inside." Tanjiro grabs Goku's hand. Soon as Goku instant transmissions him and Tanjiro, Vegeta comes charging at Tanjiro. Vegeta shouts. "YOU BETTER HAVE ANSWERS. YOU SON OF A BITCH." Tanjiro panicks. But Goku stops Vegeta from doing anything to Tanjiro. "Vegeta calm down." "WHY? HE'S PROBABLY THE ONE BEHIND ALL OF THIS. LOOK AT HIM!" Tanjiro stood there with a confused face. "He does look like he's from another universe?" "EXACTLY!" As there's commotion going on. Bulma walks into the room. Getting ready to yell but Tanjiro finally explains himself. "I'm from another universe okay. A black hole appeared. So I just walked right into it. That was a stupid mistake." Bulma stands there, shocked and confused. "Does anyone else think Trunks did this. After all, he does like messing with time. Hehehehe." Said Goku. "Trunks promised me he wouldn't mess with the timeline!" "But how could he have messed with other universes and cause all these Rifts. Someone else probably caused all of this." Said Bulma. "Yeah no doubt." Said Goku. "I hate to interrupt but how will I get back to my universe?" Asked Tanjiro. "I don't know? In the mean time stay in this universe." Said Bulma. "I CAN'T STAY HERE! PEOPLE NEED ME!" Yelled Tanjiro. "WELL YOU MOST CERTAINLY CAN'T GO OUT THERE! NOW CAN YOU?" Yelled Bulma. "WAIT GOTEN!" Shouted Goku. "I CAN'T GET A SENSE OF HIS ENERGY! HE'S PROBABLY IN ANOTHER UNIVERSE! DAMNIIIIT!" A couple of hours earlier "Mom I hope your okay. I'm coming." Said Goten in his head. Goten sees a lot of rifts open up but doesn't acknowledge them liked Tanjiro did. Goten just kept pushing. Finally, he arrives at his house but to see it half destroyed. Goten worries that his mom is dead but to his surprised she's not. Goten here's her screaming our for help. "MOM! I'M COMING." As Goten heads for his mom a right rift appears right in front of him. Taking him to another universe. Just to say that this is Chapter 1 and 2. I think there will be 5 or 6 Chapters. I just wanted to see how other people like it.

  21. If anyone ever read CCS clear card manga till the latest chapter, I wanna ask about Toya.. There is a spoiler here.. so those who doesnt like spoiler please dont read it and just skip to the question..... Now my question is who do you think that give the barrier in sakura's house in CCS clear card so kaito become hard to attack sakura? Who also take out the spell in Syaoran's body? Is it Toya with his new power? Or maybe Sakura's father with the help of her mom's spirit? Or is it Eriol but kind of impossible since Eriol is also sick and little bit weaker right?? or it'ss just kaito being weaker and gonna die each day... Idk.. Im really confused now... lol what do you think guys?
  22. In the last blog post I showed what the main characters will look like. After designing the main characters, I designed one more character. Since I already finished the script for chapter 1, I know what characters are needed for the debut chapter. So I realized I needed to design Atsuko. She is the clan's best geisha a very promising prospect with the potential to become the best geisha in the country. I wanted her to look cool and even a bit masculine. A cool chick. She is also always smiling because of how confident she is in her abilities. Now after figuring out how the characters will look, I needed to know how their bodies will look like. So I started designing their clothes. I mainly focused on chapter one. There are more clothes to design and characters to design but I decided to just think of the first chapter. I'm no fashion designer but this is what I came up with. It's based on traditional Japanese costumes. This is what a Head Geisha will wear. Head Geishas are like the principals of a school. They are in charge of everything. They start a Geisha school and they train them. This is what Maikas will wear or "Geishas-in-training". Similar to students in school. After designing the clothes, I did a trial drawing. Combining what the character looks like and the clothes they will be wearing. Here's the main character Yumi. Her magic is fire related. She can generate fire from her hands and use that to fight. Here's Atsuko. Yumi's classmate who is the best student in their school. Her magic is ice. She also generates ice from her hands and uses it to fight. I also made the storyboard for chapter one. A storyboard is like a blueprint to how something will appear. Engineers use blueprints to build machines and artists use storyboards to build creative things. And that's everything I've got so far. I got my storyboard done so I can now start drawing for chapter one. That's very exciting. Thanks for reading. Take care!
  23. I’m almost done writing the story. Well almost, almost is the key word there. Just a little bit more and I can finally start drawing. I cannot show you what I’ve written so far because it will contain spoilers. And I do want you to read this webtoon someday. But I want to share with you a cool tool I just discovered. It’s a map generator. Now I know they exist but it’s the first time I actually used one. It’s called Azgaar’s Fantasy Map Generator. And it’s perfect if you’re writing a fantasy story. Like me. Especially for world building. So you can better imagine your fantasy world. Every time you refresh the page it comes up with a new random map. It even comes up with names if you’re too lazy to think of some. Clicking on a place name will get you more information that has been randomly generated for you. And of course you can change it to your liking. You can pan around to check out the map. And the most important part, you can save this map so you can edit it later. Because remember, once you close this tab your map is gone and a new random map will be generated. All in all I found this tool really useful in writing my story. And I hope it can help you out too. Comment below what you think of Azgaar’s Fantasy Map Generator. Or what tools you use to make your writing easier. I’m going back to writing now.
  24. I wrote where I got my webtoon idea from in the last blog post. You can read that first before reading this one. We can start expanding this idea into a full story. It’s time to write! Writing is really hard. It’s harder than drawing to be honest. It’s so hard that a lot of webtoon creators actually skip it. They go straight to drawing instead. They do a very rough draft of their story and go directly to the fun part of making a webtoon. Which is drawing. And that is why you get Anime, TV shows, or games that have crappy endings. Because the story was a second priority. It was just made along the way. However, it’s not practical to write a complete novel before you even start designing your characters. That is too extreme. I think it’s best to be in the middle where you have the story done. It’s complete but not set in stone. You can make changes along the way. But you already know how it will go and even know the ending. I am using a Microsoft Word template to do that. It works by asking me questions that will help form the story. I will have a complete story once I answer all the questions. I made this template by combining things I learned from using Storyweaver and Dramatica which are very old software. I used them in the past and I thought it was pretty cool that they helped you construct a solid story. You will eventually hit a writer’s block where you run out of ideas. It happens to everyone so don’t worry about it. What I did was I went to You Tube to do research. I searched for Japanese mythology or Japanese legends and watched a lot of videos. I also used a Japanese name generator for my characters. This saves me time of having to brainstorm them names. Unless a character needs to be named something specific. And here’s the first version of the synopsis. This is just the first version and can change over time. Let me know in the comments below what you think. Is it too cliche? And do you have any suggestions to make it better?
