  1. Hello! I know it’s been a long time since I’ve posted, but I wanted to share the stuff I’ve been doing in my absence. After some grief and anxiety, I spent a lot of this past semester working on an original universe. It’s become a labor of love and the characters are all my precious babies, lol. I’m going to share some short stories involving OCs from a larger plot (one I’m not quite confident enough to publicize yet) and I’ll try to list them in as chronological an order as possible. I’m going into this fully expecting not many people to read them, but even if you could take a glance over one or two, I’d appreciate it! Also, I don't know why everything I wrote is bolded here, this happened last time and I couldn't fix it ;o; Winter Tales at the Tavern - Stern elven Colonel Vaeril Alvensheim falls victim to his poor ability to handle alcohol. This results in humorous and warm moments shared under the winter moon. In the company of his friend, a whimsical shopkeeper called Lianthorn, Vaeril laments the peculiar circumstances of his home life and potential romantic interest, Nimiel. Ceramic Hearts - After accidentally breaking a beloved trinket of Nimiel’s, Vaeril–ever the tsundere–brings her to Lianthorn’s shop to find a replacement while grumbling all the while about this and that without much direction. Short, sweet and sappy. Haemir- A dive into our beloved Colonel’s backstory paired with that same cozy tavern as before. A bit heavier in terms of angst, but has a happy ending. TW for death. A Toast to Tomorrow- This one dives into Lianthorn’s backstory, which is equally as tragic and I think quite Frieren-esque (though I myself have never seen that anime and just know it from instagram posts, lol). Opens up the overall narrative’s shift towards Lianthorn and his journey to finding love. Another TW will be issued for mentioned death. A Fated Meeting - Dahlia pt. 1- I have two favorites, and this is part 1. Dahlia, a human woman lost in grief and seeking some kind of spell to resurrect her late father, ventures into elven territory to find a certain cursed staff. She’s willing to sacrifice anything for a chance to see him again–even her own safety. Lianthorn arrives in the nick of time to save her, and what follows is something I can only describe as soul-cleansing (at least to me as a writer, heheh). It was SO comforting and healing to write this one, I just love the amount of sappiness and fluff and I can’t get enough of these two! Winter Woes and Wonders - Dahlia pt. 2- Part 2 of the super-duper-fluffy-wuffy wholesome fest that is Lianthorn and Dahlia’s budding relationship. If you choose to read any of these, I’d like it to be these two. Adult themes are briefly glanced over, but the scene is written as a fade to black, so there’s no inappropriate content. I am currently working on part three. Also, a little FYI– I’ve been using stable diffusion to illustrate these stories. Please, try not to crucify me for the AI thing; I know it can be shady if used wrong, but I’m only using it for this purpose, not to sell or pass off as my own drawings. I don’t need a lecture. This has helped my mental health immensely and I’m not interested in being attacked for it. I’m also not looking for advice or constructive criticism. Sorry to be that person, but I’m happy with my stuff the way it is, y’know? Unwanted criticism just hurts, lol. Anyway! That’s about it. I’ll try to be more active here if I can. Since finals season is over, I have more time. I’ve been kinda down so having some more friends to share stuff with would be really nice! I know I probably sound like an oversensitive crybaby, but I promise I'm not mean. Please feel free to add my discord if you want to talk! I’d be delighted to hear from you.

  5. This is VERY exciting news, this is great. 2022 has many great anime coming out and a film adaptation of the manga "Blue Giant" is one of those anime I'm looking forward to. https://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2021/10/20-1/shinichi-ishizukas-jazz-themed-manga-blue-giant-gets-anime-film-in-2022 Now, reading the manga, this is surely a great upcoming film i've been waiting for. I'm excited to see the animation of the musicians, and the audio of the music that is heavily praised in the manga. This is a jazz based manga, about a kid who goes to tokyo to pursue a dream of becoming a great jazz player, and I have high hopes for the animation of his journey and adaptation of the actual manga. https://www.funimation.com/blog/2021/10/21/jazz-manga-blue-giant-gets-anime-film-in-2022/ About the Manga "Blue Giant" is heavily dedicated to the craft of jazz, if you love jazz, then you'll love this manga. It's an illustration of a kid named Dai Miyamoto on his journey honing his skill in the tenor sax, soon he moves to tokyo after high school pursuing a life long dream of his.
  6. Hello everyone! i hope y'all to be fine i'm new here and wanted to say hello i have recently started a Youtube Channel and i hope y'all will help me grow my channel Thanks dudes!
  7. HI guys, I am looking for some tools to create anime characters of my own for my youtube channel. Can anyone suggest me which tools will be perfect for me? Please don't suggest any paid tool.
  8. I don’t watch one episode at a time, I watch the whole season at once. I waited for AOT 4 to complete, downloaded it and was into its complete amazing aura...Eren had eaten Warhammer Titan, Levi just took Beast Titan.. Survey corps were doing great.. And then.... and then Sasha died.... that Gabi i hate i just can’t take it. It feels sad that i wanna talk to someone. Someone who understands..
  9. Hello, I've started making a manga of my own, and I was wondering what were some tips for creating one? I already have some characters drawn here
  10. A discussion of any piece of Soukyuu no Fafner media out there- perhaps how you liked it, what you thought could've been better...
  11. I wrote my own "Light Novel" after all these years! A Slice of Life filled with comedy, excitement, and fluff! Hey everyone! I'm new here, but I wanted to let you all know about the story I've been working on for the past couple of months! I started reading manga/light novels and watching anime when I was still around 6 years old, believe it or not, I am born to be an otaku. Reading the manga/light novel became a part of me until now, and I am overly excited every time they announced an anime adaptation for the manga/light novel. Because seeing the characters moving and interacting is just amazing for me. webnovel link: https://www.webnovel.com/book/i-never-thought-i-made-a-harem-by-making-a-manga_18080645005182205 My novel, "I never thought I made a harem while making a manga." currently available for free in webnovel, is a slice of life and a romantic comedy story about a generic dense MC named Kenji Yoshikawa who only is a high school student lacking in ambitions and dreams, seeking to live a simple life. His unusual family background doesn't allow him to live his life in the shadows, in order to uncover the secrets behind his family. He started a mangaka club with his childhood best friend Yasuyuki Okamura and a mysterious girl Fumi Sugawara then sudden events unfolded. I hope that you guys can enjoy reading my humble little story! The first volume is out and the next volumes will be out soon. I'll do my best to keep writing more! You are open to share your thoughts, fellow readers! ATTENTION: There will be updates soon! but please continue supporting my story. Cover art: Temporary, updating. Story: Needs fixations. Next update: Volume 2 will be released soon.
  12. Anyone know where I can find a trilogy of short animes from a couple years ago called Road to You? Legally of course. Sounds interesting (for a tire commercial ) but it isn’t on crunchy and I don’t seem to have access to my brother’s Netflix or Hulu anymore. Anyone watched it? tia...
  13. Hey..I'm new to AF, I hope I can find people to talk with about anime...I've only started watching anime a few months ago...but I'd say I've watched enough where I really wanna talk to people about it..we needn't necessarily stick to the topic...Oregairu's just been on my mind lately so I thought I'd put that in the topic..I just wanna talk about anime..and hopefully also about the ones I've watched...I hope I don't annoy and creep people out by talking too much.. Sooo...Oregairu's nearing its end...with only a couple of episodes left..It's got me wondering about Yui...The first three episodes or so made me feel as if 8man's gonna end up with Yui...then they showed his inclination towards Yukino and you accepting the fact that she's not gonna get 8man...now with this whole wish thing in play....and with 8man saying how he wishes he could just fulfill all of yui's wishes one by one..its got me wondering if there's hope for yui fter all...I know in the manga he ends up with Yukino...I won't mind 8man ending up with any of the girls..It's just hard for me to see yui's heart break..
  14. Me and my friend recently watched Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade, written by legendary Mamoru Oshii, which is based on his Kerberos Saga manga and media franchise. Strangely, he didn't direct it like he did Ghost In The Shell (apparently he was so busy working on the latter that he allowed his close protege to do the directing instead). Anyway, after finishing the film, we were left confused with a thought: Was it good? Did we like it? But the more we thought about it, we came up with our own answers: My friend didn't like it, citing that the forced "Little Red Riding Hood" metaphor throughout the entire film and flat characterization for the main characters didn't make him feel invested in the story at all. As for me, I did not dislike it, but I also didn't like it. But strangely, I couldn't say that I did not care for it. In the end, my feelings towards Jin-Roh was that "I wanted to like it". It has beautiful animation, music and overall great production values considering the time it was made and released, and there's obviously deep love and care put into making the movie. However, it is also one of those movies were unless you understand Japanese historical background (in this case post-WWII) and other cultural context not familiar to the western audience, you would be left utterly confused by it. We discussed this together with our acquaintance who recommended for to watch it so he can discuss his own thoughts about it with us: What did all of you think of Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade? Did you understand its message and theme better than we did? Or was it also confusing to you at times?
  15. How many of you have seen Godzilla Anime Trilogy? From what I've read, these movies are heavily divisive among the fans and general audience. Me and my friend watched all of them in the same day. There definitely were a lot of flaws we could see, but we could see a lot of merit these movies bring to the Godzilla mythos with fresh, unique ideas and concepts. We made a video where discussed in detail about all three movies, giving our individual scores in each area what worked or didn't work for us, before giving the overall final score: What did all of you think of these movies? I sometimes feel like that the hate from the general audience came because they were expecting something similar to those two recent American Godzilla movies, with their catering towards "fan service" and entertaining action scenes. Do these movies deserve all the scrutiny they get, or is there something more to them?
  16. Hello , As the title says i am looking for anime with witty story telling and script similar to the Monogatari series and Denpa Onna to seishun otoko(Ground Control to Psychoelectric Girl) If you have seen these two or either one of them you should understand the gist of what i am trying to get at.Kindly help me if you can
  17. Hi, I've been looking for this anime so much time that I don't really remember how long. So anime definitely aired before 2000. It had so much erotic content, but the main plot was so great that erotic content I don't really recall. I saw only one episode at my friends. Ever since I did not see anything like that. What I remember is that, main plot was about some cult who was sacrificing ladies, piercing trough their bodies and so on. It was so epic, I've never seen anything like that. So main heroine, wasn't really connected with that cult, and she fall in love with some guy, and for some reason she had been attacked. But she had some magical power which protected her, and she gave her earring to her boyfriend (earring contained that power). So she fall in love and gave away her power. After a while, her boyfriend started using that power and saved her. But got into cult's hands and became a monster. Anime had a lot of sexual content, Ecchi but not Hentai. A lot of violence, really good plot , and all that Japanese stuff, which we like. If you've seen that, please let me know the name of anime. Thank you!
  18. In this topic, we'll be talking about the first episode of OreGairu! Now, if you haven't watched OreGairu/My Youth Romantic Comedy is Wrong, As I Expected, then you should. But if you don't want to and just want to learn about it, here's a very simple explanation: Source: https://oregairu.fandom.com/wiki/Yahari_Ore_no_Seishun_Love_Comedy_wa_Machigatteiru_(series) Important events in Episode 1 consists of Hachiman Hikigaya going to a service club against his own will so he can become less of a loner, the characters Yukino Yukinoshita and Yui Yuigahama being introduced, and Yui befriending Hachiman and Yukino. Anyways, discuss! I look forward to hearing what you guy think! PS, OreGairu is on VRV and I think it's on Funimation. Image source: https://www.mobileyouth.org/oregairu-season-3/ Alright, so the network got messed up so it posted the topic three times, and I'm sorry about that! This is the real one! The other two, I'll find a way to delete them. But this topic thread is the real one!
  19. Hello everyone, I'm working on a research project focused on the role that setting plays in the consumption and spread of anime. To further this, I have a series of questions for those who have seen Hayao Miyazaki's Spirited Away and Makoto Shinkai's Your Name. The questions are as follow. Thank you for your time. 1) What is your nationality/country of origin? 2) What country do you currently live in? 3) How old were you when you watched Sen to Chihiro no kamikakushi (Spirited Away)? 4) How old were you when you watched Kimi no na wa. (Your Name.)? 5) Which film sounded more interesting, compelling, or exciting to you before you watched it? 6) While watching the films, which one was able to hold your attention and keep you caring about the storyline, the world the characters inhabited, or the premise? 7) After you finished the films, which one did a better job of keeping you invested in the story, world, or premise? 8) Which aspects of the films played the biggest role in your answers to questions 5-7? 9) Which film do you like better personally, and why? Is there a certain aspect or element that one film possesses over the other that makes you enjoy it or like it more?
  20. It was a short anime only lasting for 8 min? Or 10. I'm not sure. However the anime description was that it was a love story that started when a woman gave a guy some gloves at the christmas tree? At school that guy has 4 like best friends they have different personalities and romantic fetishes especially one of his friends which like whips in romance and other stuffs. They are in pursuit of their love lifes and wanna help the first guy which doesn't have one. One notable detail was that in the near ending the guy actually kissed the girl but didn't remember because he actually fell asleep then the girl just kept her feelings for the guy and continue loving him without telling it to him. I wanna remember but I kennat. It was a tear-jerking anime for me though because I somewhat related to it hahahahaha. Anyways thank you.

  22. Okay Everyone so I already updated my status a little while ago so I would like to continue on that note by making a few blog entries. Since yet again it has been some time since my last post. I don't know if I have mentioned to you all before but I quite the procrastinator while I am at home. So my room is a hot mess and it takes me forever to do stuff also as a Gemini I tend to get sidetracked a lot so I never really finish anything I actually start. Ugh sometimes I just wish I could get together while I'm home. Also I said only at home that's because when I am at work I'm totally different person. Diligent, hard working, problem solver, communicative, real people person. I wasn't or is not popular but when I think of a character I probably most resemble Umaru from Himouto! Umaru-chan. Anyway I digress back to the main program. lol. There was a few things I wanted to talk about one is this will be the only mention of things in the world right now as I am sure others are already talking about things and frankly I am sick of all this craziness and wish to not talk about it. I do however care very much about the people's well being and mental health so like I have said before if you need a friend to talk to I'm willing to listen that aside my blog shall bring happiness with reviews of anime's, manga, Japan, kpop, and jrock, among many other things. Ok moving on. I love Haikyu it is one of my top 10 favorites I can watch this series over and over again. That being said I was a bit disappointed when the new season is WHAT already over. Just 13 episodes I don't know why but it felt awfully short to me. I mean it is pretty standard 12 to 13 episodes per season but looking back The first and second season were each 25 episodes soooo you know WTF. But the wait shouldn't be too long. Tentative date will be sometime this July with 14 more episodes. So I CAN'T FREAKIN WAIT!!!! Second season of Fruits Basket started and I am already highly irritated at Motoko that girl I just wanna punch in the face. The first episode introduce a couple of new charcters who were highly strange to put it mildly. See what story those two bring. Other than that the episode was kinda plain honestly. But we are just getting back into the swing of things so I am sure there will be more adventures and drama awaiting. My looking Forward/New Season List Some more SAO - Now I know a lot of people have mixed feelings about this series. I will say I quite like however it does not make my top 10 list. Since I'm older I quite like some old school stuff but I have invested a lot of time in watching all of the series thus far. It's got some good qualities I feel the new story arc is a little lacking compared to original and GGO season's. I felt it was a little slow in the beginning but now that some of the original cast is starting to come back into action it is starting to feel more like itself sort to speak. Assendance of a Bookworm - I love Myne (sounds like Mine) she is the main character. Okay if you haven't watched this little gem I would. Classified as Isekai. Basically a reincarnation into another world. She is thrust into and frail poor girl, though she isn't alone her whole family is there don't get to sad on me. But this world is quite different and there is a lack of books which well from the title guessed her previous life she was a bookworm and thus part of her struggles begin. She super kawaii it's an adorable funny story. Guess I just started second season it was a really short break in-between that last couple episodes so I don't really call it a second season in my opinion. Food Wars 5th Plate - Soma is my jam. LOL. I absolutely love Food Wars I can't get enough of this sadly I believe this will be the last season. I have been thinking after this is over I might start reading the manga cause I love it so much. Highly anticipating what and where the shows going. Tower of God - Now I haven't watched the first episode of this but I'm hoping it will be decent. The story sounds good so we will see how the plot unfolds itself. When I watched the preview up the upcoming season there were a few shows I was interested in but I didn't freaking write them down at the time thus I can't remember what they were. So we will see when they come out and I will update you all on the promising new shows. Sorry forgot one. The 8th son? Are you Kidding me? - An isekai also. First episode was quite entertaining and I feel will be very funny and interesting to watch. During the first episode the opening montage does't happen until the halfway point of the episode was quite weird but it was an awesome rock song. SPOILERS!!! The main character is a salary man and after getting off from work prepares a meal and right before eating falls asleep and wakes up in a very strange place and is also now a young boy. He thinks he is rich nobility but it's more like poor nobility and then finds out that he isn't a 3rd son but in fact the 8th. Anyway some other funny stuff happens and it was pretty good.
  23. One more page and I will sleep same thing I always told to myself when i watch anime, but this manga in titled "demon slayer" keeps me alive and never allows me to rest as page goes by, it keeps me reading it until i reach the last page but until now I'm half way through with it and it's still not finish yet, now I'm trouble finding my sleep in midday, I guess I should continue to read this amazing manga.
  24. Kinda new here. Anybody up for giving me a tour of the place
