To be completely honest, I hated it. I really dislike the direction the series went in, with the war and racism and stuff. I went in expecting horror and science fiction stuff. And sure, there was a lot of both or those, but the war stuff just didn't click with me, and it didn't really seem to mesh that well, at least in my opinion. Very disappointed overall.

I'm pretty sure the first manga I read was Fruits Basket. My friend was buying the series as it came out, so I got to read them pretty quickly as they were released.
