New laptop screen

Hey i have a new laptop. I have a great screen from the buck rogers time, but it has no hdmi. My new laptop does not accept scart. is scart to hmdi adapter a possibility?

i am thiinking about this:

Be very careful when buying this sort of adaptor/converter cable, some of them are not bi-directional.

Ah, it means that the cable will only work one way.

As an example I have a PC in my living room that uses my TV as a monitor, so I can watch CR in comfort, the cable attached to it will send a signal from my PC's VGA port to the TV's HDMI port, but it can't be used the other way round. I couldn't use it to send a signal from the PC's HDMI port to the TV's VGA port. (yes, my TV really does have a VGA port, but the picture quality using it is rubbish!)

Or to put it another way:

VGA to HDMI - works.

HDMI to VGA - doesn't work.

I hop that makes some sort of sense.
