Trying to Create a Logo for My Scanlation Group.

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to create a logo for my scanlation group, here's something I created after I saw something similar on Pinterest.

Any advice or feedback is appreciated.

Looks good and modern, no issue with it to be honest, should be a good fit if it has the same overall theme as the kind of manga you're translating :) (samurai, historical etc.)

I feel like it lacks something, something that would make it pop out, I don't know.

oooh that's pretty good

it might be from the lack of color on it, im not a graphic designer like sakura who is amazing at it but i feel like like even tho the logo is good it's lacking of pop like you said. Maybe a background would help? it feels barren i guess, like this is a layer from a full image.

You might be correct, but on the other hand, I think a new design might be necessary, but I'm not sure I have the skills for it. My abilities in illustrator are limited, unlike photoshop which I've been using for almost 7 years.

I know limited info about this sort of thing except what I learned from Sakura. Have you tried doing a drop shadow to make it pop out. She might have an idea like Soramee said she's pretty good at that stuff.
@Sakura ideas?

The drop shadow idea is kinda a good one when I'm doing graphics it helps the renders stand out just enough to create a pop feel.
