  1. I'm still sick.. No headache anymore but now it's the throat ! I binged a lot of anime at least
  2. Nice shots, they almost looks wholesome with the greenery, but knowing what was going on on-site gives it another feeling ! The lack of awareness and protection towards noise/heat and the working conditions sure doesn't sound like a fun time.. Still, the tower/furnace remains impressive. Wow, that TV looks even smaller than Sony's old PMV which were used in hospitals and other professional setting
  3. Looks good and modern, no issue with it to be honest, should be a good fit if it has the same overall theme as the kind of manga you're translating (samurai, historical etc.)
  4. Overall it's better to ignore the vitriol and carry on, there's also a lot of adult with these kind of opinion (and twitter as a whole ), these people just can't be reasoned with. These people not only complain but want the content gone as a whole. Negative views on anime have always been a thing and less harsher if anything nowadays, but it didn't used to come from the inside.. Let's just hope Japan keep on ignoring it and trust in Ken Akamatsu and others figure who keeps fighting the good fight (Ken akamatsu is the author of Love Hina and nowadays a political figure on freedom of expression)
  5. Have fun ! It's an older version, similar to ragnarok pre-renewal vs ragnarok renewal, it's nice and free of the heavy pay to win which is characteristic of nexon/official server, lol. And in case you're missing teammates feel free to hit me up
  6. For me it's definitely Sakaki, that gap moe is not only great to see but she's also quite relatable in some aspect The teachers are great too, poor Nyamo, having to endure Yukari all the time, lol.
  7. This show still needs to be talked about for sure, one the nicest slice of life, and the craziness only adds to the charm !
  8. I got an headache as well (and weak body), since two days.. Best of luck to you ! I'm feeling a bit hopeful that i won't be sick by the weekend at least , seems to have gotten slighty better already.
  9. I'm feeling like there's never enough time to do what i want ! Pretty good otherwise
  10. Not so much, given that most of the time it's an habit formed by phone usage and short content consumption The intent of the person using the phone matters for sure though, you can definitely have good habits even while using a phone, although i'll always encourage the opposite and what makes the most cash sadly :v
  11. Kind of an old thread, but i'm surprised no one mentionned elsword, it used to be popular There's also dragonica for another awesome sidescroller. Ragnarok online is definitely a classic and the most active though, i think it was even referenced in the anime "Netoge no yome". There are some awesome lesser known mmo for 3D ones though, i recommend mabinogi on mabi.pro server to everyone, you can basically play your dream anime character, the gameplay is deeper than it looks, and there are even funny non-combat skill to upgrade the OSRS way without being as grindy lol
  12. Came across it on my mp3 today and now i'm listening on loop..
  13. "That looks nice, i want one too.." (looking at someone eating a cookie)
  14. Thanks for the welcome messages, glad to be here
  15. *Being not very observant, i enter the wrecked store rolled in police tape, ready to do my daily shopping, only to find out knocked shelves, along with tanks and dragon face to face* Humm anyone know where are the employees ? I think they might deserve a generous raise !
  16. I don't reach much manga, like you i find that it doesn't give me the best immersion. It feels weird reading something where the pace is set in stone almost as much as an anime. I do read some manga, especially those that come out in my native language, but it's much rarer than anime (or light novels, i tend to get absorbed in these even more than anime !)
  17. Nothing wrong with dub or subs, but i prefer subs, english isn't my native tongue so i don't get more enjoyment out of it than japanese, and the seiyuus do an amazing jobs. Some people are so preoccupied with being elitist that it gets concerning, lol. Kinda ironic because the experience of watching an anime is a bit subjective/personal to begin with.. What's a dub or two really
  18. Overall this is definitely a bit of a hot take but i kind of understand both sides. I find current animes "focus" to be less relatable and enjoyable ; this comes with the territory of new animes being shaped for a new and different audience, and the old one's specific interest fading a bit more into obscurity. On the other hand, when you really take a look at how things are going, there are a lot of great anime being aired that will be worth remembering, just as much as the 2000s-2010s had. For me, where the issues truly lies is that i enjoyed "mediocre" or run-of-the mill anime pre-2016 a lot more than the "mediocre" or run-of-the mill anime of now, this a very sujective and acquired taste though, lots of good stuff airing.
  19. Like a few people above, i've tried a bunch but stopped early. Much later on though, i ended up watching mahoutsukai precure which i found alright, and then came heart catch precure and yes precure 5 which i liked, then my favorite, smile precure . That said,i feel shorter shows are better for me, i'm not a genuine fan of the mahou shoujo formula despite all the CGDCT.
  20. Very good choice, couldn't keep myself from smiling at these gifs, in fact That's a nice topic ! If we leave out waifus from the equation i guess my choice would be characters from older (fictional or not) era, such as Eruru, Minna or, if that counts Shinku. I guess there's something kind of heartwarming about how dedicated or dutiful they are and the different environment they are in make for a good break from our busy world. (from left to right, Eruru, Minna, and shinku. I've also got a soft spot for the three Gintama idiots, they never quite leave your heart once they seep their way in, lol There's also pretty much every characters from Slayers, that series never fail to be a beautiful adventure with its daring characters, i could go on and on but that's about it
  21. I'm currently rewatching Gintama, i'm at episode 74 and the trio is still as good as ever to watch I'm also watching Ashita no nadja, it's interesting and happening close to the victorian era but it's a bit too focused on romance so far for me. Next i'll probably rewatch konosuba in its entirety to see the season/movie i haven't seen yet, or find myself a nice mystery/psychological anime to binge.
  22. For my vacations not to end. I'll get over it though, time to wake up in time for work again.. =w=
  23. I think everyone remembers well the initial D scene pure awesome factor lol, and to be fair Konata is what makes 70% of the anime so your choice makes sense. For me it's Nanako, that kansai-ben is irresistible, she's an adult gamer, and her misunderstanding about Yui's marital situation is both funny and sad lol. Nanako aside, Hiyori is great as well and has a good character song, Patricia and Minami deserves to be mentionned as well
  24. Hi everyone ! I have a more detailed description on my profile, but to make it short ; I'm an all too common otaku and computer nerd in his early twenties. I'm a lurker kind of guy and didn't used to post in forums even 12+ years ago when it was more active but still, gotta start somewhere . The way forums invite people to converse in length along with the wide range of different and interesting people here pique my interest so here i am. I'm looking forward to perhaps be active and interact with everyone here
