Militaria_Collector
I have a pre ww1 dated Scottish mess jacket (used for special occasions like balls and dinner parties) it's named to a captain James Anderson of the 7th Fife regiment. He was killed on the 23rd of August 1917 at Gallipoli farm, Ypres, Belgium. He was ordered to attack a German position and was killed attacking it. He was the only officer casualty of that day of the regiment. Ignore the the armband on the right. Not relevant The guy in the picture is the actual man himself. 1
Metro
Ah cool man. Whenever I hear Ypres I can only think wipers since the British couldn't pronounce Ypres.
