uploading picture

Ok not sure if there is another thread for this but I have a problem with uploading pictures in a thread I made,

when I first made the thread I could upload pictures and put thumbnails up but now the thumbnail button is gone and you cant see the pictures unless you click on them... I went back to edit the first two I posted and the thumbnail buttons are on them so I am confused...

Compared to the screenshot I posted, did any of the upload controls appear, or was it just the thumbnail button that wasn't there?

both thumbnail and full image were gone but when I went back to the first two that I posted they still had both options..
