ItsSammy
Have you ever watched a show (Anime or non-Anime) where you find a side character more entertaining than the main protagonist(s)? If so, for what reason and which character?
existentiallylostdumbell
Pretty much any harem anime, the only way they can have a guy surrounded by all those women is by eliminating his personality. In order to get along with the rest of them, he has to be able to be anyone. Kinda fucked up when you think about it, discarding your identity just so women will like you. But it's possible that it's a common occurrence in society, acting like someone you're not just to get along with the opposite sex. The way companies put it, it's seems I have to become a smiling yes man if I want to get hired. So that's life, but I digress, a prime example, in my opinion, is Infinite Stratos, that guys wishy washy as hell.
Orius
Hino Hinata (Mirai Nikki) Not psychotic like Yuno. Tomboy. Tanned. Cute af. Also has a good heart, but got mercilessly betrayed by Yuki the a-hole. Shinohara Seiko (Corpse Party) This is referring to her original game counterpart instead of her butchered anime version. Her maternal love for her siblings without the support of a mother is admirable, but she has also shown her vulnerable side which she hides with a goofball facade. Amane Suzuha (Steins;Gate) A badass soldier with martial arts. 'Nuff said. Also, that "letter" scene was just cruel. Lan Fan, Pride, and Envy (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood) Lan Fan is a cute one-armed Chinese. Manages to maintain a strong front in spite of her disability. Strong female character. Pride is an interesting homunculus, having the face of a boyish child, but secretly hides the heart of a cold-hearted demon. His powers are also the coolest IMO. Envy has the most tragic ending among the homunculus. The only time I cried in the anime. Sarashina Chizuru (Hourou Musuko) There's something about this tomboy with no concern for the prejudice of others that I like. Proud to flaunt her manliness. Admirable. Masumi Sera (Detective Conan) Again, tomboy, my favorite kind of girl. Knows Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do. Secretly has a cute hard-on for Conan, or rather, Shinichi. Cute romantic rival for Ran. Though honestly, I like Conan more than her. Fuyumi (SaiKano) Another tomboy, but this time, a much more sympathetic one. Has almost the same foolish crush as Miki Sayaka. Has a terrible fate that she doesn't deserve, one that makes me hate the main character. Ayase Takako (Midori Days) Yet another tomboy with a crush on the main character. I find her to be more attractive in personality than Midori, but whatever. I'm sure there are a lot more I haven't thought of, so that's all for now.
