  1. Hey, just wanted to let you know I've completed Symphonic Rain (sans the bad endings, I can't bear to read it). It was indeed amazing, Phorni had one hell of a route. I'll have to disagree on your route ratings though, for me it was Phorni > Torta (al fine) > Torta (da capo) > Lise > Fal.

Thanks for the recommendations. I've already played planetarian so I'll probably go with rewrite since that's what I have on hand right now.

And yeah, I'm aware that Kogado did release a fair amount of novels after SR, it's just that the kuroneko-san team of kogado never released anything after SR in 2004. I know they're probably involved with the studio's other VNs, but it wouldn't just be the same without my favorite subdivision in the lead.

Rewrite... good pick! Thats actually my second favorite VN. I hope you enjoy it :)

  2. I use office 2013, but right now just for mundane 2-sheet essays mostly. I expect to use it much more after university starts this year.
  3. Yeah, did that just now, and now I think I despise her. I was never very fond of her from the beginning anyway so I won't take back my previous statement. Working on Lise's route now. Just to keep the thread on topic, I recently came back to playing osu. If anyone's up for a multiplayer session, feel free to give me a holler.
  4. Lollipop? You mean this isn't the loli guild? I've come to the wrong place.. Kidding. I am honored :3
  5. Ah. I guess it's just my luck ending up on the worst route on my first play. And about her personality, I can see where you're coming from. Though on the bright side, things can only get better after this, so it's fine I guess.
  6. Yeah, that's one of my main motivations for playing the game again. I've found the game to be more interesting than when I last played it, so hopefully this'll help keep going until the end. And yeah, you did ask last time. I'm currently somewhere in the middle of Fal's route.
  7. Man, I envy you. I wish I could afford a Wii U. As for me, I've been trying to get back to playing Symphonic Rain lately, hoping I can finish it this time. I've also been playing a little Euro Truck Simulator 2 on the side.
  8. Seems interesting, I just hope Shaft doesn't go all Bake on it. I've never liked any non-monogatari anime that uses Bake's art style.
  9. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gjTzz8cOxBU As for my screenshot, I'll be posting this:
  10. I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but 720p is still the wisest choice at this point. With the exception of movies, any non-BD anime release is 720p at max (except KyoAni, they do 960p or something), and anything higher is nothing but an upscale. Even with BD, very few anime actually make the jump to 1080p. Just something you should be wary of before filling your harddisk with unnecessarily large files.
  11. Darn, why does it have to be now? I'm out of money and I'm only getting regular allowance again starting on the 12th ;_; One of my favorite VN titles ever. Prepare tissues.
  12. Yeah, but there's nothing we can do about that, unfortunately. The original author was shut down by youtube so these kinds of unofficial uploads are all we can go by. They're also missing a lot of episodes, I can't seem to find any above 14, even though I remember watching it over the 20s.
  13. Same thing happened to me Don't join anime clubs in high school. As for me, I got my first dose of anime when I was very young, and due to heavy localisation, I didn't even realise that stuff came from Japan. I only realised that during middle school, but I quit everything japanese during my entire middle school time because anime fans were socially being treated very badly. I only made the leap back to anime during high school, and I was relieved to find out that most people had much more open minds now. They weren't bothered by my tastes, even when I talked about them in public. Things went by, and I am now a hopeless anime fan who isn't the least bit productive. I've also taken a liking to japanese culture, and I'm now in the process of learning the language.
  14. The "mainstream" abridges are quite entertaining (LittleKuriboh, Team Four Stars), but I won't delve into them since they're likely to already be watched by most. The ones I like that still pretty obscure are these two: Death Note Abridged -- do note the one I like is the Team Dattebayo version. There are numerous other DN abridged series made since Dattebayo was forced to shut down, but those are not as funny. [spoiler=Video]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5HW44dnd7T4 JoJo Abridged. I'm talking about the newer one, based on phantom blood -- but the older OVA-based one may be just as funny considering it's made by the same team. [spoiler=Video]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hhmOLKfR_Kg Also @drill, does Code MENT contain much Code Geass spoilers? Cause I can't watch it if it does, I'm planning to watch CG later.
  15. For me dark and bitter chocolate are the best, especially with coffee.
  16. Thanks I will. It's definitely not the worst of the season, but still very disappointing nonetheless. Maybe the reason I dislike it so much is that I had high hopes for the show, and the premise intrigued me -- and the show failed to satisfy me one bit. Haha, I did something similar a couple months ago. Glad to know you're rating with a better spread now.
  17. Yeah, I'm quite curious as to which characters they'll be introducing this time. I'd say they're most likely from the newer games, but I do hope they also bring back some of the classics. It was kinda dissapointing to see how 13.5 was pretty heavy, considering most Touhou games run fine even on a netbook. You should try it when you get the chance, it's loads of fun. No more Alphes, so let us rejoice.
  18. +100. Also, if anyone's still unaware, they've announced a new touhou fighting game at the last comiket (14.5). It's more akin to what 12.3 is to 10.5 than an actual new game, but still quite exciting nonetheless. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cXJ1M9lJgo8

In case anyone's interested, the "dental hygiene" scoring of Nise on the front page was referring to this (SFW but very suggestive): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B1jY7BLQVMc I'd give it a 10/10 for dental hygiene.
  20. They all deserved my perfect scores, but if I had to pick out of the three, I'll have to go with Mushishi. It's animation may not be the best, but it's simply a work of art. It takes human nature very seriously (greed, fear of death, and the like), but still manages to stay soothing. It has heavy amounts of symbolism, but you don't need to understand any of them to actually enjoy the story. Most of all, Ginko is probably one of the best protagonists I've ever seen. My favorite Touhou character is and will always be Hinanawi Tenshi. I rarely use her as my avatar, though. Black bullet, in my opinion, was horrible. Bland and cliche characters, bad pacing, and lackluster ending is just few of the many things I found wrong with it. I actually wanted to write a full review of Black Bullet, but never got round to it.. the review system is broken on anilist 2.0 anyway. Of course, this is all my opinion, and anime is subjective to say the least. Feel free to disagree on any of the points I've stated.
  21. Love Live's pretty great. It had a nice setting and a fun (albeit cliche) band of characters, and the animation was also pretty well done. I think I marathoned the whole first season on my first sitting. Just can't get enough of that OP. Speaking of Kotori, can't say I'm the biggest fan of hers. Her voice sounds annoying to me.
  22. I'm Revvie, and I'm just your average, unnotable anime fan. Been watching anime since I was a kid and will probably continue to do so for quite a while. Pleased to meet you.
