  1. I think I can. I do see scenes in anime and immediately think "that's been done via CGI". I can't be sure if there is CGI out there that I have mistakenly thought was hand drawn though.
  2. Some of my favorites: Order of the Stick: https://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0001.html The Whiteboard: https://www.the-whiteboard.com/autowb001.html (Note that the style changes a few comics in).
  3. I've been watching it having read the first few manga volumes. That image you used isn't very indicitve though - it makes it look like Maomao is some kind martial artist walking into the fight of her life.
  4. I just finished season 1 of Yuru camp on Crunchyroll. I was disappointed to see they don't have an English dub for season 2.
  5. I tried a Google search. Dragonball itself has never featured Christmas, but Dr Slump has and the two are officially set in the same reality so technically yes.
  6. I think I saw a small clip of the dubbed version once. I stayed well clear of it though as it sounded like a travesty. The original is a classic though.
  7. Just about all of them. The watery card IIRC does try it's hard at drowning someone IIRC. The jump card makes a really bad attempt at attacking Sakura. Other that that I can't think of any that made a serious attempt.
  8. You might want to rewatch that series. I think you might be miscounting or misremembering the number of cards with homicidal tendencies.
  9. I've been to Japan a few times and learned very little about religion and mythology there. Most of what I've learned is from anime, manga and video games. The Naruto series is interesting as quite a few of the special powers refer to their their gods or mythologies.
  10. I'm in Australia so that might be why it's not on Crunchyroll for me. Thanks.
  11. Many years ago I used to buy the dubbed Sgt. Frog anime one DVD. Then they stopped producing dubs - I think it might have been a licensing issue perhaps. I'm not sure if they ever resumed producing them. Does anyone know one way or another? Also, is there any streaming service that has them? Wikipedia says Crunchyroll but I can't find it on their site.
  12. I'm not sure I'd agree. The first NGE ended so vaguely it's hard to be sure what happened from my recollection. The more recent remake did have a lot of devastation but things were looking up in the end.
  13. Well, there is Ariel from "Is this a zombie?". She isn't technically middle age as she is suspected to be over 100 years old. But I'd guessing magical girls aren't supposed to age past being a teenager. To some extent you could also include Sakura from Cardcaptor Sakura - or more specifically her cameo appearances in XXXHolic/Tsubasa: Reservior Chronicle as she is old enough to have had children by that point.
  14. I've been trying to watch the new GXP series. It's hard going - much like the later seasons of Tenchi Muyo. The main problem being it includes people/events from the novels and I keep having trouble following who/what they are talking about. Anyway, my vote if for Mari Tomita from Air Gear. Despite being constantly being paranoid that men are going to molest her, she has a tendency to act very erotically.
