Code Geass is a really good one! It's a mecha anime but it's one of the few stories where the hero could be argued as the villain.

My Hero Academia is a great show that is currently in it's third season right now. It's a show about superheroes and takes many things from western comics and superhero stories.

I'm in the middle of watching Yu Yu Hakusho and it's a blast! It's definitely up there in my top 10 anime that I have ever watched. The story's great, the action starts of decent and becomes great, and overall, this show is a masterpiece. Also, its made by the same person who made Hunter X Hunter so you know it's good.

I'm surprised no one has said Nisekoi yet.

Most of Ghibli's films are great but not all of them. Ghibli has produced many classics, but even it can mess up sometimes, like in Tales from Earthsea or Ocean waves

Hey! I have been an anime fan for about 3 years but for some reason never found this place lol. I like mostly shonen/action anime the most but also watch many other genre's too! I'm watching a ton of anime right now, mostly because it's summer so I might not have time to watch new ones right now but I still want recommendations! Hope I have a good time here!
