I'm on fiberglass, it's the newest thing and better than cable. Den Haag was the first city to get it. For this internet, cable tv (like a zillion channels) and housephone I pay 50 euros a month. Not too bad I think =)

Random Rant: Had my yearly Doctor's appointment check up. =) Also signed up to be a blood donor (it's a charity thing here so no, no money ^^)

Home delivery was only being trialed in Sydney though. I live in Melbourne. I don't think I would use it anyway. Doesn't take much of an effort to drive to Maccas, seriously! Also I am not sure how successful home delivery was since there hasn't been any updates.

 

Why aren't there any McCafes there? That's weird.

We're probably one of the few countries that doesn't have McCafe, so far every other EU country I have been in, they have McCafe. I'm so jealous! I wish there was one so there would be one that is 5 min from my house

Interesting news! Australia are finally trialing home deliveries in Sydney! I wonder how it goes I wish it was happening in Melbourne I would totally call up for a home delivery so I could review it on here to just see what it is like

I never really played Zelda that much as a kid. I was always more into sonic, mario, and Spyro (when the PS1 came out). I do like that you can get digital copies of a lot of old games on modern consoles. I got Legend of the Dragoons for 1USD, total steal. I was close to buying the Dino Crisis games but I changed my mind >.>

Sonic! I loved this Sonic Game for the Game Cube where you could breed those cute little animals! I forgot the name =(

Oh okay, that is a good idea. Where are you planning on going? As a casual worker I have never had any leave :'( luckily I don't work all too much so it gives me enough time to do things outside of work.

 

First day back at uni today. I hope it goes well. I am studying a public relations subject.... I promised myself I would never do public relations ever again since in my undergraduate degree they caused quite a mess with the group assignments but I am running out of interesting subjects to do, so here I am again studying PR hahaha.

I didn't watch any of the World Cup but I am so happy Germany won since I have so many German friends! I still wish it had been a Netherlands vs Germany finale though....

Argentina was playing defensive the whole time, they wanted penalties. I didn't think that was a real match to win. Germany VS Netherlands would have been so much more exciting and a lot more fun to watch!

Did you watch your own country play? or really not into sports at all? =)

Admittedly I didn't watch much of the World Cup this year, just glanced at the news highlights. Grats to Germany for their win.

 

Anyone else notice though that World Cup games seem to be getting more controversial since South Africa? As in the general evictions of poorer people to create the venues and infrastructure.

 

I hope the next World Cup has less controversy, Russia is the next host right?

So World Cup 2014 is over and my country (The Netherlands) came in third! Not bad right? So happy for Germany for winning the World Cup!

I was a bit upset when The Netherlands lost against Argentina because I was not agreeing with what the coach did He used his last switch (to switch team players) during the very last 10 min of the 30 min extra time and I was like "No! Don't! You need it to switch goalies because penalties will happen! ". So yeah we lost because our main goalie is not good at penalties, we have a spare goalie who is so good at it.

Currently I own: PS3, PS2, and Gameboy Advance SP.

 

Honestly I just use my computers for gaming anymore. I do have several emulators for the really old systems ... but it's nothing like actually holding the paddle in your hands. You know how many people have tried to correct me for calling them paddles? It's a paddle or a joystick, not a controller >.< lol

Same, nowadays I just use my computer to play videogames on. I'm planning on to build my own "gaming" computer somewhere this year. So many fun games to play with friends on the computer!
