    Hi

I enjoy the old-style battle systems. I'm a big fan of old-school RPGs with front/side-facing combat. I've been working on learning to code Ruby, as I have a few ideas for a battle system I'd like to put together at some point, as well as other things. I used to do spritework in my youth, but aside from that I'm a more traditional artist. Sadly I've been in a slump lately and can't decide what to draw.
  2. I'm apparently in a minority of people who really enjoyed the ALO arc. It was a wonderful social commentary regarding love that transcends distance, though I do agree that Sugou was creepy.
  3. As harsh as it sounds, I grew up. The anime, for all intents and purposes, was geared towards children. As an adult, I find myself no longer enjoying it. That, and some of the decisions Ash has made throughout the series irk me.
  4. Night, for everything. I suffer from insomnia, so mornings are not productive at all because I sleep through them.
  5. I haven't watched Pokémon past the second or third movie; whichever one had that girl with the flute, and involved Entei. My favourite pokémon itself... I'm not too sure. I have a lot of favourites. Zubat, Noibat, Mawile, Gardevoir, Gothitelle, Trevenant, Joltik, Ariados. I'm currently playing a sort of themed/roleplay run through Pokémon Y, to try and spice it up. I'm only using grass, poison, bug, ghost, dark, and bat-types. I love bats. It makes the game a bit harder, which is cool. Though I am also using a Tyrunt and Mawile. Mawile is sort of my mascot, and Tyrunt is there because dinosaurs are cute.
  6. I too say random things. I usually don't build as a full support, because unless I'm playing with friends I tend to assume the adc I'm with will suck, so I make sure I have some offensive capabilities. Though Janna is pretty much the best support for going offensive. So much damage.

    Shower vs Bath

I prefer baths, since it lets me relax more. Plus I've found lately that showering tends to aggravate an old leg injury more than it used to, and I actually ended up falling over at one point due to it. At least with a bath I can just drag myself out and crawl around if needed.
  8. I'm a little (a lot) annoyed with my manager at work at the moment. My work contract is 6 hours per week (I spent 15 months unemployed before snagging this, I was grateful to get that much) but it seems that my manager can't get his shit together at all. I'm working 37 hours this week because he failed at securing cover for members of staff who booked holiday, because he "thought it was next month". Don't get me wrong I'm loving the money I'll be picking up from it, but still. I had plans. As usual, whenever I make plans, something comes along and craps on them.
  9. I've been checking out some shows I'd never heard of lately. I'm a few episodes into Zombie-Loan which is an interesting show, to say the least. The main character basically has something called shinigami eyes. She can see rings around people's necks; the darker and thicker the rings are, the closer that person is to dying. Very interesting supernatural show, just slightly let down by its animation. I've also been watching Rental Magica which revolves around a sort-of detective agency populated by wizards, who go on missions to slay demons, put spirits to rest, etc etc. I'm not very far, but it's quite good.
  10. Back when I was a super-extreme hyperactive otaku, I made a forum with one of my best friends whom I met on AnimeChains. Our forum was a Forumer free site called Nekoland, and honestly it grew really well. Of course, back then we didn't really have as many choices for free software as we do now, and as a 16-year-old I didn't have many methods of earning money, so I couldn't pay for hosting or anything like that.

    Hi

Thank you, I will. I was skeptical about Fairy Tail at first. I tend to get bored by long series'. I tried Naruto and just... I couldn't. I went into Fairy Tail with reasonably low expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised. I ended up watching all...170ish episodes in the space of a week or two, and it's definitely a favourite. Log Horizon I went into because I enjoyed SAO, but felt it focused a bit too much on the romance aspects of the story, and the constant Mary Sue crap pulled by Kirito et al. I know he's the main protagonist and all, but it bugged me. The only thing that bugged me, admittedly. So I'm excited for S2, especially since we should be able to see Kirito as a chick. I'm not fully caught up with Log Horizon yet (I'm on episode 18) but I'm loving everything about it. Well, most everything. It got quite slow in the middle, lots of talking and not much action. In fact I think there was one episode where it was just talking. The characters are likable though, and the romantic underlines are almost missable, which I'm enjoying a lot; considering the whole basis of the show being a sort of technological apocalypse, romance really shouldn't take a leading role. Additionally, the main character isn't a warrior-class character, so it's breaking the big tough hero trope right off the bat. I'm never going to not support breaking away from common themes. I can certainly post up a few things. I've been meaning to work on a new piece, I just keep getting distracted by other things. As sad as it sounds, I'm working in the RPGMaker engine. Or rather I was, before my old laptop decided it wanted to BSOD multiple times a day. I managed to migrate a few important files, but didn't get around to the project I was working on, so I haven't gone back to it yet. I will, though. Probably just a test project to get back into the scripting side of things. I did work in flash games/animation in college, but it has been such a long time since then I've forgotten 98% of it.

    Nokia

I have a Lumia 800. I love it. I don't really use many apps or anything though, just Xbox Live and a flashlight app I downloaded. Overall, it's a good phone, everything works as intended even though I've had it for quite a long time.
  13. I honestly only use Facebook to play one game with. Aside from that it's just... there. I do have a separate account that I use to keep in touch with family and friends, but that one is similarly barren of things. I don't use my cellphone much for internet stuff, so I don't do any of this "tagging" nonsense. It's rare that I make a status update, too. Usually when I do, it's just a musing on a news story (most recent one I made was regarding a British soldier who was murdered by a Muslim extremist, and how people are hypocrites for believing that the actions of the person who did it are enough to condemn an entire religion)
  14. I did enjoy it, but parts of it felt a little lacking. It took a while to really get rolling for me, the first 4-5 episodes dragged on and on, and I actually dropped it for a few months because I was bored out of my mind. I picked it up again and marathonned it in about 4 days, and it was alright. The middle arc was really good, but possibly a little long. They could have condensed it a little and still had the same effect. The ending left me wanting more, but mostly because I was unsatisfied. We went through this massive, epic arc full of the good stuff, and then the finale just sort of...ended.
  15. The most recent one I played was... I think Red Alert 3? on the 360. I recall not liking it very much. I did however enjoy the original games, back on the PS1. I loved setting up 8-player skirmishes on Red Alert, and the GDI were the best thing ever.
  16. I haven't played much since S3 ended. I wound up in... Bronze III, I believe. I swear, EUW gets the short end of the stick regarding servers, and in the nicest possible way I'd like to say a big "screw you" to the game constantly matching me up with Brazilians, Russians, and Spaniards who cannot speak a word of English. Uuuuuurgh. I'm a support, mainly. Sona and Soraka were my top two, but I did start playing Thresh and Nami late in the game. I can play mid/top quite well too, but I prefer support, for the most part because nobody else ever seemed to want to do it. I used to play with a group of friends, and nobody wanted to support so I picked up that role, and repetition made me pretty good at it. I love Udyr top though. Got my first pentakill vs actual players with him.

    Hi

G'day, I'm Crowe. 24 (almost 25, eeee) and semi-obsessed with anime, obviously. Big fan of Fairy Tail and am excited for it to start up again in April. Also a fan of Sword Art Online, Log Horizon, and Watamote. As far as older shows go, Rune Soldier was pretty much my obsession throughout college. Aside from that, I'm an amateur writer, predominantly high fantasy but occasionally science fantasy and realistic fiction. Also an amateur games developer, but that's more of a hobby than anything else.
  18. I have yet to watch it, but I really should. SAO is one of my top animes so far. I must say I'm not a huge fan of Asuna's new look. It just doesn't feel right to me, but I'm sure it'll grow on me eventually.
