  1. Well, it is certainly true that I put this on my to watch list, but ultimately I decided to go with the original manga to ensure I'd get the true ending. But I don't really see this as a problem and instead think it will be more fun to compare the two versions, so I hope no one minds if I discuss the manga here?

  2. I like to have black coffee as I relax before the day starts.

But I definitely drink more tea then coffee. My favorites would have to include Matcha Green Tea, it tastes like spinach if only as a faint aftertaste and that's possibly my favorite vegetable. I also like Oolong with a hint of milk. There's also White Tea...it's been a while since I had that one, I'll have to look into getting some more.

  3. First we're introduced to the main character, then we're introduced to her sister, the best character, who seems like a kind person and just a normal high school girl. Though I'm afraid I didn't initially realize that she is only obsessed with killing animals and that she never killed a human before. She is slowly subjected to mental torture as she slowly loses her sanity because her sister kept making her kill people and messed her up so badly that she killed her friends and even their family's servants. After all of that their family decided to lock her up in a cell and then the main character decides to let her satisfy her desire to kill one last time. D,=>

But it is a bit interesting to see the story from the perspective of a villain, though that is short lived as is the main character AND THAT'S WHAT SHE GETS FOR KILLING BEST GIRL and so it seems that each episode will take place from the perspective of a different zodiac member and that could be really interesting as well.

    Thoughts?

If you haven't seen Love Live before, I would recommend starting with the first series School Idol Project. Although the tone of the franchise is mainly comedic, there are plenty of heartfelt moments and deep character development that really make it a great watch.

This is a topic about season 2 of Love Live Sunshine and therefore will contain spoilers for season 1. Now, let's discuss the show.

    Episode 1:

So one thing I noticed is how willingly everyone makes fun of Yohane, which deviates from last season when she was accepted for who she was. I also don't like how Dia goes "boop boop" to say someone is incorrect, it doesn't suit her at all.

Oh yeah? Like how Honoka totally gained weight in the last series and she totally didn't look like her usual skinny self, ne? But at least her english seems to be improving, I think.

So Mari's father tells her that the school will be closing no matter what, and they all find out that there is nothing they can do about it.

The rest of the episode is pretty much just them being depressed, to the point where Chika and Riko fight. But of course nothing can destroy their friendship. ^ - ^ Then Chika decides that even if there is no way that that's not going to stop her from trying to oppose fate, and everyone feels the same.

I'll give this episode a 7, even though rating episodes isn't really my thing.

  5. I think on the contrary I think that it just requires more focus from the audience, and I hate when someone guides me to understand a story. I want to think, I want to be intrigued and enlightened. I see your point in regards to their age not seeming much different, but unfortunately this can only be helped with better cuts and colour disparity and we don't want to see that cliche all over again. Give us stuff like "Rashomon" Akira Kurosawa.

Desu desu! It works in this particular case because it helps to establish that most of these characters are a friend of the main character's. And besides, I'm postive they'll focus more on individual characters in following episodes.

So, who is your favorite character so far?

  6. Oh, as soon as I saw this topic I knew I had to go and watch it.

    MomoMiraicomparison.png.496e19be031e9a787246eb1aafd26786.png

First off, Momoka looks like Mirai from Kyoukai No Kanata.

Other than that, it seems like Eita's father is going to turn out to be a terrible person.

Initially I didn't like how they jumped from characters constantly, but afterwards it does make sense when you find out that a lot of them know Eita but it's definitely not something I'd like to see continued. Another problem I had was with the flashbacks, I didn't even know it was one until after it was over and I easily see it causing confusion if they continue to handle it like that. I think the problem also lies with how characters tend to look the same in middle school as in high school, a trope that should stop.

It kind of reminds me of Myself ; Yourself in the premise of someone coming back to his hometown and reuniting with all his friends, though without the brief somgoekgyo of what life was like before the main character moved away. The characters seem likeable enough but only time will tell if this story will be worth diving into.

  7. I don't really find anything this season very good Kakegurui and Made in Abyss are just ok.

with Made In Abyss I feel as if they're trying to rush through the different areas as quickly as they can, it seems they're going to try to come up with their own ending. I think I'll switch to the manga for now and see how they differ from eachother.

  8. Here is the order I would rank the shows I'm watching:

    1. Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi No Kyoushitsu E (8/10), it has elements of mystery and the concept feels original, there's plenty of plot twists which makes for a exciting watch.

    2. Made In Abyss(7.8/10), it has a ambitious concept and the quality of a movie, and I have to give it points for being a fantasy series not about being trapped in a game or being reincarnated in another world.

    3. Clione No Akari (7.5/10), a anime that deals with bullying should be good, I don't think a anime has had it focus be about bullying before. And it's the only show I'm watching with ZERO fanservice, which isn't easy to find.

    4. Gamers! (7.3/10), it's about people who play games, in case the name didn't give that away, and there's real games like Tales Of Phantasia and Persona 4 Arena, and like I thought it's a sweet anime.

  9. So I've seen this show before, but decided to watch it over again in order to discuss it.

The first episode does a good job of showing the fantasy elements embodied in this world, establishing what the anime will be about and what we can expect, as a first episode should.

So Hikari is very tough on Manaka and that is noticeable immediately, and he makes little effort to be polite to people, but one can tell he has a good heart. He did something wrong and rather or not it was in good faith, he had to recognize it as such.

    c.png.ff0baaa25ad7e8136010344441519924.png

The relationship between Manaka and Tsumugu develops fast, and one thing I failed to notice is how observant Hikari is of that, which is probably the reason he doesn't take kindly to Tsumugu because he sees him threat to the relationship he himself has with Manaka.

So what are your impression of this episode? What are your thoughts about the aforementioned events or some of the other things that happened?

  10. I don't believe in the concept of underrated and overrated since I believe this is pretty subjective... however, since I want to be a good sport I'll just say that everything from Darker than BLACK is gold and pretty much every song in any Studio Ghibli movie should be more recognized.

You're sugoi if that's what you actually believe. It must be nice not to be concerned with people hating something you love.

  11. Here are a few songs I found while going through older anime themes. Hope you enjoy. ^_^

I'll try to find more over the next week, stay tuned until then!

  12. [spoiler=EPISODE 2]So this was a pretty emotional episode. Rico's uncle (Habo) comes back from the abyss carrying the white whistle of Rico's mother (Lyza). This essentially means that she might never come back, although she doesn't really seem affected by what this revelation might mean, but that makes it a little more sad, Leader (Jiruo) doesn't make any attempt to comfort her either and just states the facts, so I thought that was a bit cold, but he does encourage her to follow her heart. It's also revealed that they uncovered notes that Lyza left and at the end of the episode, Rico gets to see them.

[spoiler=EPISODE 3]Which I mention because they literally stole all of them between episodes!? :largegasp: I mean how did they...when did they...and no one noticed?? Good game, Rico, good game.

[spoiler=EPISODE 4]So they are now in the abyss. It's a bit disappointing to be honest, I mean they're supposed to be finding food randomly lying on the ground and questioning their motive to eat it, but instead they're actually cooking meals. THIS IS NOTHING LIKE CHOCOBO'S DUNGEON!!

Well, I don't mind that really, but they do get through the first layer pretty quickly, so I question how long they'll make this last. I didn't notice this before now, but Habo and Rico's uncle are one in the same. By the way, Jiruo is probably my favorite character, despite what I said earlier he is actually pretty cool and kind of a bro which is confirmed by this episode.

I did watch episode 5 earlier, but I'll leave it at this for now (famous last words).

  13. I was kind of out of it when I watched this, but I'm glad that isn't the reason why I didn't enjoy it. The animation is awkward at times (can't really describe it but you'd understand if you watched it) and the characters talk over a series of shots that take place at a different time or place then they. A example of this is like what you said with MC and Towa talking to eachother while shots with no context are shown, and also when the girls are in the library, they continue to talk but the rest of the scene clearly takes place later. Why not show them picking out books after they've finished talking? Then we wouldn't need those long pauses.

    But I'm feeling this ship.
